When signing up for a new account - adding the 10% welcome voucher works out cheaper than the current Amazon deal.

Looks like you don't get the usual semi-rigid case with the SA version though - comes with a soft carry case only.

  No personal experience but I've seen many posts on reddit of broken hinges on these.

  Doesn't seen to affect the XM4.

    Yeah, the longevity of the hinges on the XM5 model is my concern too, my XM3's are a number of years old now and show no signs of wear.

    My son was jealous of my headphones on a recent long-haul flight so I promised I'd get him a set. After looking at the XM5/XM6's I ended up getting a set of refurbished XM4's from the Sony store on eBay instead - $223 delivered.

    These are worth looking at as well.

  I just got mine via the ebay seconds deal from earlier in the week.

  Came with original case which is too chunky for travel but it fits in this travel pouch nicely for $7 from kmart
