Looking for a wireless fast charger to charge note 5 and note 8. It's $120 on samsung site, and very cheap on eBay, but eBay looks to be full of fakes.

Read abbreviated or full saga about counterfeit Samsung pads. Slight difference in weight or one degree or other lower charging rate, only simpler ways to tell.
OP, Kogan sell genuine, but standard one is out-of-stock. This one only slightly more expensive and better for travel

The first one, Synergy, seems pretty legit.
I bought a charger about a year ago from eBay. The title had Genuine on it and I paid $39. The packaging and the device look exactly like the original with great detail.
And works well for me with the S7-edge I had.Last week I got a Note 8 from the deals they had here. But unfortunately, as soon as I place the phone on the charger, it only charges for a few seconds and the charger turns off. It resets after a couple of seconds and start charging again for few more seconds, after a couple of times of that happening, the phone flags this and brings out the message "Wireless Charging Paused".
Last Monday I went to JB-HiFi and bought one of the newer (faux leather topped) wireless chargers ($85(friends and family discount) - $20 black Friday voucher = $65), and this works well. with the note 8.
Furthermore, I tried the phone with my friends older charger from Samsung, which exactly looks like my fake one, and that works well too.TL;DR; One would think that the Qi system is a standard and any third party charger would work, but seems not. Better to buy the original from Samsung.

JB will price match and you can buy discounted vouchers for jb if you want to buy from a retail store

I have to say I purchased mine from eBay and it seems legit. Just make sure to check feedback, volume of sales and make sure it includes packaging and you should be OK.
