Be careful, there are extremely convincing looking fakes out there, even from seemingly reasonable companies.
A recent deal here on Ozbaragain turned out to be fakes

Suggest you carefully read through that post I linked. Check the photos especially.

So you saw the bit where the seller apologised and offered to replace all the fake chargers?
He sells fakes. I would only buy these from a major retailer.
Much like flash memory- just too many convincing fakes.

        • @King Tightarse: hm yes I saw sounds strange. oh well looks like he fooled me. I will be messaging him now if I get my wireless charger and its fake ill just open up a paypal ad ask for a full refund.

Best of luck. I hope they are now selling originals.
I think it would be a good idea to check photos carefully and the weight, that is another giveaway once you receive it.

        • @King Tightarse: These are original, you can register your product with Samsung as well as get them to check the SN thats their reply.

I assume you contacted them and now that they have realised that they are under scrutiny again on Ozbargain, the place they got called out for fakes last time, it has suddenly and mysteriously gone out of stock after selling five units since the deal was posted.
          Very suss IMHO.

        • @King Tightarse: their back with more deals.

          @shadowrukia:
Look mate, these guys have in the past followed a certain pattern:
They sell really good fakes (and some crappy ones with incorrect labeling too) when people discover verification doesn't work, they will act all surprised and apologize and refund you. It make sense for their business and keeps the negative feedback low. People lie, they bullshit openly. These guys have already been caught before with obviously undeniable fakes. I wouldn't buy a free water from them. They are bullshit artists who have been caught before.

If you want to be certain buy from a major "A" grade retailer or directly from Samsung.

        • @King Tightarse: I dont mind, get a free item. lol

  • Charging pads are great. Use one with my N5.

Plugging a phone into charge, so old school

  • I picked up one late last year for ~$45 (ebay'd). No need to wear out the micro usb port anymore! Minor complaint is the soft blue or green light that can be annoying at night.

Neg due to "problem with the retailer".
He has attempted to sell fakes here on Ozbargain before.

    • According to the thread, most were replaced or refunded…

  • Where can i get a non fake wireless charger?

  • -2

I bought this two weeks ago from this selle, mine was genuine for sure.

  • There's an amazing amount of fake Samsung stuff on eBay, nearly all of them state "GENUINE ORIGINAL SAMSUNG" bla bla.
Some are really hard to spot, others are not so hard. The high end fakes tend to fool most buyers so you really have to look into the feedback to know.

  • Spend a bit more on a three coil charger, I got a TYLT charger from Amazon for ~$70.
