I hate buying sunnies ever since I saw this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDdq2rIqAlM

    • Luxottica is such a ripoff. Illusion of choice, but really a monopoly

    • I remember 12-15 years ago you use to be able to get designer sunglasses for $30-40 in the January sales and just realise that they dont discount to these levels now. After seeing this youtube video I know why…

    • Yeah I had bought Ray bans and would have bought on these sales as I really need a pair, but after watching that video I don’t even click on sunglasses hut link anymore

    • Sunglass Hut is owned by Luxottica.
Holy shit, thanks for the video. I remember watching this once but couldn't remember the brand name. Such a good tactic to divert the consumers.

    • sunglasses+hut are even moving their ebay au store to ebay china zero fees.

  • Thanks Op, just curious though where do all of you buy quality polarised sunglasses at a cheaper price?

You can buy Cancer Council ones at a lot of chemists pretty cheap.

      • Are they good quality, I never bought them before…

        • For the price, yes.

      • Cancer Council sunnies are better than servo ones, but not great either. I've bought some (genuine) Ray-Ban's on ebay, was ~50% of Australian prices at the time, from the UK if I remember

    • Bailey nelson are decently priced (relative to sunglasses hut) at ~$150.

There are some online stores like D.Franklin and Hawkers which have polarised sunnies i use for driving and everyday use that go for $20-30aud delivered iirc

    • Thank you guys, I will have a look :)

  • Excludes lay-by purchases, Chanel, Valentino (online only) and Maui Jim.

Maui Jim always, always excluded :(

  • When clicking to view the shopping cart the site appears to change to the US store and loses the Cashrewards "active" status. Am I doing something wrong? Or there's nothing wrong and it will work?

  • Bought two pairs, will return the one I don't want within the 90 day return period. Great deal thanks OP
