There used to be entertainment before dvd/bluray. People called it books

      • or CD..

        • casette tape

        • valve radio

    Hardly seems like a complete collection…guess that's why it's $15.

  • How is it complete if it doesnt have 8 and 9?

    • +1

      Or caravan of courage.

      • plus Ewok battle for Endor… now that would be a collection!

    • do you think Disney will stop at 9?

      • No way. The plan has always been 12 even from Lucas. And Disney is a money making machine. You'll get all 12 plus another 10 spin off and extended universe movies. They are going to bleed star wars dry.

        • No, it's never been set at 12. Lucas has changed his mind from 3-6-9 over the years.
Apparently releasing 40 hours worth of movies over about 50 years is bleeding it dry?

        • +3

@BeRad: I think he means Disney will bleed it dry.

Personally I am happy im just getting some more star wars content.
If only they'd make a good Jedi Knight game again

        • +1

@mavis30551: yea I know… I just find it's a bit small minded… they are a large evil corporate because they want to make money from something people want more of… I'm pumped.
Also, I daresay, if 10-12 happens, it won't be until after Rian Johnson's new trilogy is over.
And agree, another Jedi Knight game would be amazing, those multiplayer lightsaber duels were my life for about 4 years.

        • @mavis30551: Would be interesting to have a game where the Dark Side is canon. Sith: Lords of the First Empire. (First sounds neat)

        • @BeRad: When I mean plan I mean written (story arc) included 12. Sorry for mincing words. I didn't say Disney was evil but quality needs to come before quantity with something like Star Wars. Disney's plan right now includes a new movie every 12 months with spin offs. 40 hours of movies over 50 years is misleading. Let's only look at Since Disney took it over. We're talking 7-8 hours of movies in 2 years. I also don't see what Rian has to do with it? He hasn't been confirmed as the Director of anything other than what he is doing now. JJ Abrams will have directed more Star Wars movies when 9 is out.

        • @stumbows: ummm didnt you hear the announcement of Rian Johnson creating a completely new trilogy after Episode 9? Google it. Also Just because there is a steady stream of Star Wars that doesn't mean they will be bad. I've seen Last Jedi already, and the 3 movies under Disney so far have been amazing in my opinion, so until there have been faults made they have keep it up.

        • @BeRad: Wow so you just proved my original point. An additional trilogy just means they are really getting their moneys worth. I never said I wasn't happy but the market will become so saturated with SW movies they won't be as special anymore and will just become a money making machine. For instance have you seen the article about the top 20 weirdest SW licensed products? Like the BB-8 oranges. But I digress. It seems you'll take the position of the other side regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

what? novels? why would you read the original star wars? watch it!

I wonder who shoots first in the novels

This is not the deal you're looking for.

      • The title can have a strong influence on weak minds…

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

      • Not just the sand, but the women and the children too

@Kysol Really! Your first few words on OZB three years after you joined and this is all you could come up with?

        • was about to say the same thing lol

        • I shouldn't have taken a quote from a prequel… much hate still exists.

        • @Kysol: Let the hate flow through you…

I am altering the deal. Pray that I don't alter it any further.

    • i got negged 10 times because i asked if it was plain dvd or bluray as it didn’t mention books in the title ….. maybe if people do a neg their ozbargain i’d should be shown with the neg instead of hiding behind animity….

  • I remember there were lots of Star Wars books when I was younger. Dozens of them. It'd be great to get a collection of all of those ones!

    • I basically have the entire collection at my folks… that good enough?

  • I got excited for a second as there are dozens of fantastic Star Wars that described the (unfortunately no longer canon) storylines of everyone from Luke and his wife Mara Jade, Han Solo/Leia and their three kids (Twins plus Anakin - of which one of the twins went to the dark side), sideline stores of Grand Admiral Hoff and Tarkin etc.

    Ahhhhh the memories….
