Tested shipping with Sydney/Melbourne/ACT metro areas. I'm not sure what else to say. Someone on reddit said it will only last another 18 hours but I don't know where they got that from.

Seagate fanboys are alive and well here :)

Seagate and Western Digital are worlds apart.

Let me correct that: Seagate or western digital will fall apart.

I've had the opposite luck so far, every seagate drive I've had has died quickly, meanwhile I've still got WD from 6+ years ago.

@Aussar: same here. Lost my 3TB po… oh I mean action movie collections with a seagate. Will NEVER choose seagate again.

    • Much rather a non archive drive personally. Had many before, they are incredibly slow.

      • Archives are ok for reading but can often rewrite entire tracks due to SMR. Archive drives are misnamed; they should be called write-once/read-only drives!

        • I know, it took days to write to it, small files are a nightmare.

Plus $15 US off with code NEWEGG2017AUS for new customers.

A lot of the sale items had Sale Ends in 20 hours in red on the product pages when I was looking last night.

The MyBook versions are definitely shuckable, I've got a few from Amazon before with WD Reds inside. Just need a couple of plastic credit cards you don't mind destroying the corners of.

  • No much a deal

AUD 196.51, included ship to Syd on Amazon :(
