  • Seems like a excellent price but the Yeti picks up too much background noise. In the right room it works really well though

    • +3

      Hey Dano,

I use the Blue Yeti for my streams and it's reallly good. If you change your settings so it doesn't pick up all the crap in the background.

Here's a stream I did, with the right settings you can't hear my keyboard/racing wheel/etc.

Anyone who needs help setting it up send me a PM.

      Cheers

    • Yeti as a condenser mic does pick up all the tinny sounds… It’s just too sensitive
Try dynamic mics in a “noisy” environment.

  • do you need a US postal address and then have it forwarded to AU?

    • +2

No, Amazon US can ship to Australia on select product.

  • Dammit, bought it from last deal

    • +1

@eldor: if it hasn't shipped yet, you can cancel and re-order.

Alternatively, contact them via chat and ask for a price change refund. See https://www.groovypost.com/howto/request-amazon-price-change…

      • The packaged shipped yesterday.

I talked to amazon on chat and they don't offer price matching policy anymore

        • yep I tried as well, there goes an extra $53.85 saving.

        • I talked to them, they told me to reject delivery and I would be given a full refund (including postage) on my original order.
They even gave me the number to call and the tracking number to quote. Assured me I'd get the full refund.

I even had additional items in my original order, so I will have to re-order those at the same time.

Stupidly inefficient and such a waste of resources.

        • I tried too. They won't budge. Was quite a large price drop too… how disappointing

        • @BluBoy: Everytime Amazon US have sent me packages, I haven't even had the chance to sign for them. Fastway who they were using for final leg at the time (don't know if that's changed) just ding dong ditched 'em, so I can't see how that would work.

        • +1

          @BradH13:

          I asked about this.
They gave me the details to cancel it with Aust post over the phone.

Amazon customer service confirmed that it must be signed for it to be considered delivered.
We will still keep an eye on the door and deny any packages… If it is just dropped off without a signature, it is on Amazon and the postal service to sort out.

        • @BluBoy: They must have changed to AusPost sometime in the last two years then! Maybe because of similar experiences with Fastway as myself.

One of the packages I ordered was worth $650 at the time. Should have seen my face when I got home from work to it just sitting on my porch in view of the road.

I really don't need this but the price is too good to pass up.

  • +1

misread as 'ninja pyjamas' then saw the price.
nothing to see here, move along

  • Got one, don't really need it but ill prob sell off the headphones

  • amazing deal, if you can sell the headphones.

    • Headphones actually review very well having checked a few write-ups. Usually pricey little buggers!

  • +4

This deal and price is amazing for the mic alone. The headset is just a bonus

  • "heeeeyyyy guys, welcome back to my channel"

  • If you have knowledge on these items, please help me decide which one of these two bundles should I get. Thank you.

    • From an online review - The Guardian:

"Blue has taken the best bits of its original Mo-Fi and distilled them down into a lighter, more manageable set of over-the-ear headphones. They’re still not the lightest, and they will get you noticed if worn out and about, but they sound terrific when driven by mobile devices.

"Worth a look if you’re after a pair with good sound that look a bit different than your average big and gaudy cans."

    • The Mo-Fi's have a built in amp. The reviews I've read say the Mo-fi's sound better with the amp off and the few reviews out there that compare both seem to prefer the Lolas. You can get a cheap standalone amp for the price difference but it isn't necessary with these headphones.

      • Thanks…decided to get the Gamer Bundle :)

  • +1

Wow - good price drop on prior deal. Will read up on the headphones to determine whether I keep them. Like most members of this forum I have plenty of headphones!

    • your favourite one is?

  • Is it better to pay in AUD or USD?

    • +1

Better to pay in USD assuming you own a no-transaction fee credit card like 28 Degrees!

    • +2

I usually let them convert but decided to go USD this time to test my card. Will probably be 3.0%, so should end up about AUD$3 better off doing it that way. I really need to get a 28 degrees card or similar after all these years shopping online!

      • Thanks…decided to pay in USD :)

Based on your experience with Amazon shipping, is it worth it to pay US$5.80 more for Expedited Shipping?

    Friday, Dec. 29 - Thursday, Jan. 4
    $21.73 - AmazonGlobal Standard Shipping

    Wednesday, Dec. 27 - Wednesday, Jan. 3
    $27.53 - AmazonGlobal Expedited Shipping

    • +4

no Amazon ships very fast with the standard option considering its on the other side of the world.. average delivery time is 1.5 - 2.5 weeks for me on even huge heavy items.

      • Pretty much everything I've bought from Amazon has been delivered exactly on the estimated date which is pretty impressive considering the final journey is via auspost.

        • Thanks…decided with Standard Shipping :)

        • I reckon they actually hold mail locally for grouped delivery as a recent package arrived locally with Australia post at least a week before it hit me…

Second rule of OzB - never sleep on it…
Third rule of OzB - never sleep!

Mine arrived today. Yet to try either item out, but they come in a single box / retail packaging as opposed to separates bundled for the deal.

    • Also got mine today, however disappointed with the builder quality of the headphones, the right side creaks whenever I move my head. Does this occur on yours?

      • I still haven't opened any of it yet! Will let you know if I have a similar issue when I get around to it though.

      • Mine's fine. Isolates noise quite well too being a closed back headphone.
