Samsung is selling their AMOLED-screen Surface Pro alternative, the Galaxy Book 12, for 15% off on all models.

$1359 for the 128GB, Wi Fi version, down from $1599.

Complete with free express shipping and standard Australian manufacturer warranty. Not entirely sure how long it lasts, since Samsung have 2 years warranty for tablets but say 1 year for mobile computers.

Purchase comes with the pressure sensitive S-Pen and keyboard case, making it generally better value than the Surface Pro. In addition to having a HDR-video capable, AMOLED display. Offer ends on New Year's Eve if the signs at my local Samsung kiosk serve me correctly.

      I'm not sure. Never used AMEX before. Samsung don't say anything about that so I would assume not.

          @wxyz234: Greedy bastards charge $340 for 4G! Though AMEX does pay 20% for you if you have the offer.

          You can also buy the 256GB wifi for $1,614.00 and add an $85 item (case, mouse, whatever) to get to $1699 for the offer. That might be better than paying $340 extra for the 4G model.'

    Can anyone comment on this product especially vs Surface Pro?

    Reviews seems to agree that it is beaten on performance but winning on value due to the included keyboard and Pen.

      Pretty much what the reviews say. You have less options. Can't go for i7 model because it doesn't exist.

      Where it does win out is a nice AMOLED screen. The resolution is a bit lower than SP though. But I find overall it's nicer to look at.

    It's not too bad a deal if you're comparing it with SP, since it also includes pen and keyboard cover.

    $1562 for 4G 8/256GB model if you have AMEX offer.

    But I do wish it was cheaper still. You can get XPS 13 for these prices.

    If you're after an AMOLED tab, this is your only option.

    I have the Tab Pro S and it can get a bit laggy, plus battery life is less than I'd like. I'm semi tempted. But looking for an excuse not to.

    Samsung claims 11 hours battery life for Galaxy Book. Do not believe that. They probably have brightness at 20% and didn't do anything demanding.
