  • Indeed, all the series 2 Apple Watches are reduced to clear…

    • it still seems like ok buying

i look at the s3 specs and the features dont seem that important

All S2 watches are now out of stock for delivery. sometimes I forget how driven this community can be for a bargain!

      • Or for an apple product.

  • Ozbargained.

  • Does not seem to stack with the coupon code, looks like that's expired.

    • Not expired, realise now that the code excludes apple products.

  • Thanks OP, got one, coupon didn't work, but very happy anyhow.

myers online ordering system is pretty bad. their shopfront staff levels are terrible too. and yet they seem to be clueless as to why their sales keep dropping year after year. old company run by old men, soon to join the likes of all the other failed retail giants.

their instore availability checker has been broken since the start of the month (maybe longer)

their instore availability checker has been broken since the start of the month (maybe longer)

        Just like their business model.

      • +1

its been broken for well over a month. its not worked well in the past 2 years.

the best is when you see something online, in stock and in the size you want, add it to your basket succesfully, login to your account, get to the confirmation page, all good so far, and then finally get to the payment page, where it proceeds to say sorry we actually dont have any stock. ok must have just sold out in the past 2 minutes i spent logging on. go back to the main page only to find it says the item is still in stock.

this isnt a one off either.

its a shame though, as what myer sells and their pricing, can be very good. its just buying the dam thing which is the hard part! the amount of times ive walked out of a store simply because i could not find an attendant on the whole floor to unlock the cabinet for me and process the sale…

Must be Myer staff down voting you. Surprised they have email let alone an OzBargain account.

  • This stainless model was a few hundred more the other day too, much nicer - still $700 though.

Most of these orders will be cancelled so don't upvote the deal yet.

    • You think people up vote after they realise there actually is a deal? How many deals have been massively up voted and then shown to be duds?

      • All deals that turn out to be price errors (for everyone) are moved to the forum. Price Errors.

      • You think people up vote after they realise there actually is a deal? How many deals have been massively up voted and then shown to be duds?

Plenty, happens all the time for Myer, David Jones and Harvey Norman, they are some of the worst retailers in Australia if not the world with no idea about customer service.

They don't have accurate stock levels, they don't check for errors on their websites with pricing (especially David Jones), their websites are so far behind on even the most basic features it's unbelievable. Even the first version of OScommerce had more features then these three websites combined.

  • its interesting that the apple website lists the series 1 & 3 but skips the series 2

    • Apple discontinued the s2 so that’s why you can’t buy it from them, but other retailers will still have older stock from before s3 came out

    • S1 has no GPS and the s3 is the new GPS model that replaces the S2

I wouldn't waste money or "time" with these watches.
I bought my series 2 Apple Watch last Christmas and it hasn't made it 12 months without dying. I returned it for repair under warranty yesterday. The "genius" acted like he hadn't seen the problem before but I'm very sceptical.

I would stay away from Apple as I think their quality has dropped significantly since Steve Jobs has left the building.

I say that as a former real fan of Apple products and owner of several products. I can pretty much say that all of my newer Apple products have had a build quality issue and that includes iPhone (I'm on my third replacement under warranty), MacBook (screen marks with every fold away), my old Mac mini is going strong and much better quality than the newer products and probably why Apple don't know how to supersede it?
Every problem I've had has been dismissed by an Apple genius as a one-off problem.
It's a real shame as I have been sucked in to the Apple ecosystem and hate Windows, Android etc. otherwise I would easily solve my problem. I think I have no choice though?

What used to stand out for Apple was ingenuity, design and build quality. Now they are all gone and only left with a brand name that relies on the reputation of the previous generation.

Like any business or organisation, once the leader/visionary is gone, so goes the business.

No one lives or dies for the company other than the owner.

      • Very true!

Another fact is big successful companies look after the share-holder before the customer and that's how these problems start.

Cut costs here, cut costs there, maximise profits, shares go up and up.

It all looks great in the short-term but you forgot why people bought your product in the first place.

Sales continue in store. Just grab one. Thanks OP.

  • I just bought a new Apple Watch 3 cellular. I’ve had no problems with my Series 1 watch which I’ve had for years, so have given it to the wife. Gotta say that the Apple Watch is one of the best Apple products I’ve owned and it’s never skipped beat. The only really annoying thing is that Telstra don’t support cellular for the Apple Watch on their Business plans! (Yet….)

  • Just picked up a 42mm for $350 ! Still a few left at Myers Bourke st !!

  • Picked up a black 38mm SS S2 from Myer in Sydney today for $450 (paid using discounted gift cards) so there are still bargains around…
