StoreRep: BOSCH offers a standard 2-year warranty on these. I think you should follow suit and not charge extra for 2 years warranty on your website.

    http://www.bosch-home.com.au/metapages/warranty
"This appliance is warranted by the Company to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase."

    • Extended warranties generally kick in after the manufacturer warranty expires ie you'd be buying an extra 2 years, not replacing the Bosch 2 years with theirs. Looking at the terms of this suggests the same.

All extended warranties are is a paid gamble that your product will die within a specific time ranges (between 2 and 4 years in this case). I don't ever bother with them.

  • Thanks OP. Great deal. Can't go wrong for $70.

Bought a big screen tv from them earlier this year and the service was fantastic.
Love the free delivery and removal of old appliances option, though I was happy to keep the older tv, they did offer to take it away..lol.

Just received a SMS saying it has been shipped. Wow, that’s quick!

Purchased the bags separately and used below code for $10 discount. 2 lots of bags for $16.
Not sure if code is targeted? Seems pretty generic.

  • Any good deal for a handheld vacuum cleaner?

  • +1

Gah! Paid $188 months ago , spewing !!!!

    • How is it compared to other brands such as a cordless dyson?

      • +1

        suction better than v6
this has hepa , v6 with hepa costs $400++ when absolute model on sale, lower models no hepa

if you have both, you'll use the v6 everyday but not this.

  • Good one - Couldn't resist buying ! Thanks !

I ordered one for a relative but we have a Miele s5211 (2200W) which is a few years old and works great and is still very quiet. I will compare the Bosch to our Miele when it arrives and post back.

    • +3

Okay, I unpacked the Bosch when it arrived and put a clean vacuum bag in the Miele and compared the two machines before putting the Bosch back in the box and to be dropped off to my Aunt's place on the weekend.
      1. The Miele is bigger and heavier than the Bosch and both machines are made in Germany
      2. The plastic casing on the Miele seems a little thicker
      3. The Miele comes with 3 accessories while the Bosch has two
      4. The Miele's accessories are on-board under the hood while the Bosch ones are loose
      5. The Miele's telescopic tube has click in slots at both ends for the vacuum head and for handle while the Bosch just snuggly pushes on at both ends but it doesn't seem to be a problem for the Bosch. Nothing slipped off after 15min of vacuuming
      6. Power cord length is 600mm longer on the Bosch but the Miele seems to have a sturdier rewind system
      7. To test the noise levels I downloaded a Sound Meter App to my android phone and calibrated it to allow for background outside noise. I then tested each machine running at the power required to lift up a 500gm pack of frozen peas and at the power to lift up a 1kg pack of frozen peas.

The Miele measured 3db less for the 500gm pack of peas and 4db less for the 1kg pack.
I've read that +10db equates to a doubling of the perceived loudness so a I guess a +3db reading means just under 30% louder.
I don't know how accurate the App was but it seemed consistent and the Bosch did sound a little louder.
Even so, the Bosch is still pretty quiet and quieter than any Dyson I've seen running.

Our Miele s5211 cost $329 in 2015 from Myer.

        Thanks for a superb review.

      • great! can't wait to get my bosch. my downer is that the bosch has no under the hood storage of the attachments which my mums (currently borrowing) vacuum does - nifilsk. GOing to miss eing able to prop up the hood.

  • Thanks OP. Great deal!!!

  • The appliances online website seems to have crashed? "The server at www.appliancesonline.com.au is taking too long to respond." Is anyone else having the same issue?

    • Just you mate.

Got 2 vacuums and 7 dust bag packs :-)

  • thank you so much just bought one as well!

  • +8

    Hi all, an update.

    OzBargain has crushed another deal.

We had over a 1,000 of these vacuums in our warehouses but OzB was still able to go through them in just over 24 hours.
OP has been updated as our stocks have run out and the OZBVAC70 coupon has been laid to rest.

Thank you all for your participation and have a happy new year!

      Thanks rep :)

Buying good deals from AA is abt as close to guilt free buying as one can get I think.

Warm and fuzzies remain, from the KitchenAid goodwill gesture :)

    • The power of OzBargain 🤣

  • Where can i Get a good deal on the Miele range?

  • How does this compare to a Dyson V6

  • +1

Thanks for the deal I bought yesterday. The estimated dispatch date is 24 January, 2018. It takes a little bit long.

    • 24th? I thought it was already a bit ridiculous with my EDD of 11th of January.

  • I received it today, Powerful suction !
    Thank you very much Rep!

    • Same here, thought I was going to get it by the end of the month. Good buy in my opinion.

  • Still waiting on mine.

  • Hi all, just wanted to check if you guys noticed there is no mirco filter in the pack of 4 dust bags?
Just check the 2 packs I ordered and there is none.
Their website states it come with 1 x micro filter.
Does anyone have the same issue?
    Thanks.
