  May well be a good deal, but you'd never know from the descriptions on Amazon.com.au.

  They really need to include more basic info on many, many of their products if they are to appeal to a wide range of customers. Without having photos of each of the different sized tents and with no way of knowing the dimensions of things like a tent, it's hard to look past the lack of reviews on their new site.

  No offence OP - it actually seems like a good price, I'm just reluctant to jump in without details.

    Might be lack of info, but who these days doesn’t do research from online and instores (if required) to work out what you want then find the cheapest online if a physical store won’t price match (or get close at least with the ability to pickup then and there).

    Personally I don’t trust reviews on shop sites as I know so many are fake. Much prefer word of mouth which isn’t that hard with camping equipment (well if you actually go out and use it and meet fellow campers that is :) )

      Agree whole-heartedly. But the well-known truth of the matter is that many impulse buyers (non-ozbargainers!) won't do detailed research, and basic information such as the dimensions of the tent and a photo of each model erected would be very beneficial. Amazon are not a two-bit company, but the au version is poor cousin of the main site.

        Indeed the Amazon AU is pretty lacking in comparison. Since it’s launch I think this is the 2nd Amazon AU post I’ve seen on OzB, was expecting almost daily postings. Then again it is still new so given time will fill up with more content.
