    1st day of air purifier for me.

    Mini review:

    It's fairly noisy when operating in turbo mode which seems to be the only mode that is effective at air cleaning.

    The noise is not too bad, like a very loud computer fan.

    Air seems fresher to breathe, but could be placebo. It defiantly encourages deeper breathing if you are sitting next to the machine, as it circulates the air and creates a feeling of a very light breeze.

    The way I see it, the more dust that ends up filtered by this machine, the less that ends up in your lungs.

    It's actually a fair bit bigger than I imagined, around the size of a smallish dustbin (24 x 24 x 52 cm).

    It draws air in from all 4 sides, so best positioned away from walls.

      I'm pretty sure it doesn't take in air on the backside, the holes are covered. Or if it does it's far less than the other three sides.

    Is it worth getting the pro version of the purifier, is it going to do a better job? I know it can cover a larger area, but is it going to clean my room better. I have pretty bad allergies so I don't mind spending more if it means I sleep better.

      Difference is bigger area covered (ie processes a greater volune of air per minute through the unit), lcd read out on the front and the sensor detects particles better.

      The actual filtration perecentage of particles removed is identical. This one only covers a single room and you must close the doors and windows while it is operating.

    Negging this deal to alert potential customers about issues with gearbest shipping. I paid for registered airmail for a phone on 3 December which was stated at 10-12 days delivery. I have still not received it. Customer service is appalling and they just keep saying "just keep waiting".

          Sorry to hear, that's more of a hassle. With Gearbest always use PayPal and as the date passes just raise a dispute for non-delivery. Then if it turns up a month or two later you can send a message to GB telling them to pay for return shipping (which they probably won't respond to). I ended up with a free powerboard in the end because they never responded to my request for return shipping.

          Paypal usually sides with the buyer, especially if the company hasn't got proof of delivery.

          @bxpressiv: Actually, thanks for this - I did actually pay with Paypal and have raised a dispute. I guess if they get too many (which I'm sure they do) then Paypal will ban them. Also this additional hassle for them might encourage them to treat customers with a bit of respect.

          Nah, they're like the high volume ebay sellers. They probably won't respond to or care about the dispute or that you're trying to send back an item. Adding more staff on to deal with the volume of that sort of stuff probably isn't worth it to them.

      You can only use each code twice per account, have you used the codes before? If not, try again tommorrow as some items I think have a daily quota as the same happened to me but was able to purchase a day or two later.

    Hmm how come none of the code works? Tried the sneaker code, didn't work. Tried other code also didn't work

      When I used the code it showed an error abot the code not being for the product.

      But the subtotal changed to the discounted price. Check again.

      edit: just tried again and got the same error + subtotal change.

    Appears the code for the Xiaomi Sneakers with Intelligent Chip has expired :(

    Would there be another code available? Really wanting a pair as the deal from November was refunded for no reason by GB.
