Yeah last 2 RGB Xiaomi / Yeelight globes i brought were about ~$14.

Also, version 2 of this RBG globe should be out shortly.

    • Price is higher as most other stores don't have enough stock to make a deal.

    • +1

So they say… though there's been talk of a new model for a while now apparently. I'm waiting for the new one also as they're meant to be brighter.

      • I noticed the white bulbs seem to be going out of stock, was wondering if they were to be superseded.

Is that the most expensive 'deal' on a XiaoMi Yeelight RGB Bulb on ozbargain ever?

  • I bought one last November for aud 14 approx.

  • I bought mine for abt yhe same or less. This id not a deal by any measure.

  • +1

Wowsers $20 for the lights?! Where is the deal exactly?

  • Is there any coupon for the $14?

  • Works with google home?

    • +1

Yes, need to use the Yeelight app and share with google home.

Hey Op, any possible deal on the Xiaomi plug (Zigbee) version? Cheers.

    • Ditto.

    • morning mate, don't have any plan recently. our cost price on this item too high for now.

  • RGB Yeelights are a bit rich at that price…. strange because LITB is often pretty good with their pricing.

where can I get quality BC to ES adaptors? IKEA don't do them any more.

My last 4 orders for Original Xiaomi Mi Yeelight were AU$12.79ea.

    • Same here! I bought a few using different accounts! Love the colors!

Other OPs if you see this deal and believe you can have a much better deal, which I know it has been done in the past, so we ozbargainers know you can, please post another yeelight deal, a much better ones.

    • morning mate, unfortunately this is the best price i can get for now. this item's cost price too high recently. i will keep try.

  • Bit hard to keep track with all the damn deals from China but I think the best deals ever for plain white Yeelight is closer to AUD 9, and multicolour bulb is closer to AUD 11

The last notable yeelight deal was USD$9.99 for the RGB.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/348514

This is 60% more expensive than that.

And the new 800lm 9w model is due for release any tick of the clock.

    (Pic 1: 11 cents per KW/h …. how adorable!)

    • What's the high level improvement over v1? brighter and less stand-by energy consumption?

      • I think so, a third more light at the same wattage. So instead of having a 50w incandescent equivalentency, it's now 60w. A meger upgrade, but better then a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

  • my RGB yeelight wont connent to my xiaomi app anymore, yeelight app or mihome app. it just timeouts. ive done hard reset a thousand times. any ideas?

    • install an older version of app

      • i havent tried that, thats a good idea thanks!

    • Have you tried using a different phone to set it up?

      • 3 different phones now

        • Ok, sounds like you've covered all bases.

    • Try using a different server. Singapore or china

      • yeah i've been swapping between these 2 the whole time

        • It has to be a china server and use an older version of the app. It should work fine.

    • This is what my most concern is. The fact we need to set to Singapore server, am like wth. Eventually, when Singapore server is out, we left with bunch unusable bulbs.

      • They will work with any Xiaomi server…… Not just Singapore. I use the Mainland China server.

        • Aaaah .. I thought that wasn't the case with Google Home, that you have to use it with Singapore.

        • Oh, well, yes, for IFTTT (thus google home) you're right, you need to be on the Sing server. But of course there are other ways to switch your bulbs….I use the gateway and zigbee switches so I use the Mainland server.

        • @ash2000: I got both gateway and Google home and can't find an easy solution yet to get both to work…

Tried home assistant and domoticz and I'm not a programmer and I'm finding it impossible!

  • It bought two for 13 each and two for $15each. Must say we love these RGBW lights! They change the whole atmosphere of our rooms!

  • Op, how busy is your logistics? If I order this, how long will it takes to arrive here in Australia?

I have heard plenty of negative comments about your delivery, so want to clarify and check before ordering.

Ready to bite the bait considering it's not the best price offered in ozbargain, as long as delivery time compensate that.

    • hi mate, busy time is passed, last whole december was crazy busy, and now much better. but standard shipping still could be 3-5 weeks

      • just two more questions:
        * Question 1: is this light dimmable?
        * Question 2: if lost in transit, what's your refund policy?

          1. you can check other review on youtube to better check this
2.if package not arrive in 2 months when it send out, you can just pm me here to get full refund
        • @MiniInTheBox: I'm trying to order redmi note from your link without your code now.
Specs seem to be same as note 4x. What's the difference between those both

  • REP. Can you reinstate the xiaomi piston deal?

    • can't get any more code for now.
