But why would I need more ice cream?

    • +1

A better suited deal for 2 people (2 desserts for the price of 1).

    • +3

Well it is going to be 42 degrees here in Victoria so a second ice cream would be very appreciated today. Good timing for us Victorians 😅

      • +1

can you eat them both before they melt. :P

        • +2

          I could.

    • +2

Why wouldn't you need more ice cream?

      • -3

Double the sugar, double the chance of having diabetes. Win win.

        • Sugar doesn't give you diabetes.

    • Yep it’s a weird offer!!

BTW if any restaurants won’t sell you ice cream (typically 1-2 hours before closing time) report them here https://mcdonalds.com.au/feedback-form

      • I tell them I'm going to report them to Hamza and they stay open longer.

      • Been a while since I've seen a Macca's that didn't open 24/7. But I do run into the "sundae machine isn't working" excuse quite often

  • a reg sunday for $4.05??????

Stores in sydney are $3.65 for a large sunday

    • My bad, fixed now. Had the price of the large.

    • +7

My Sundays are free and I get one every week.

    $3 KitKat at Hungry Jacks

None of these Maccas deals seem to be worth it, when there are long running deals at others.

Look at the Muffin with Coffee deal, $3 at Hungry Jacks, you get a hash brown too and no 10:30am limit.

    • -4

HJ are worse quality than Macca's though.

      • +4

Don't know about you, but my 2 locals are absolute rippers.

      • +2

I find HJ soft serve to be creamier than Maccas. Maccas soft serve to me is tasteless.

        • -1

HJ soft serve tastes like off milk to me.

      • +3

I frequent both. HJs has really improved their food quality in the last two years or so. Well, their burgers were always better, but now their fries and hash browns are just as good or if not better too. Their breakfast muffins have improved too.

I dare anyone to eat a Maccas caramel sundae and then a HJs one. The HJs caramel is streets ahead. I would argue that even the soft serve quality is much better at HJs.

Maccas usually has better interior decor and cleanliness of their stores, but only marginally.

        • Seems to be a hit and miss. The Maccas I frequent seems to have a lot of adult staff while the HJ has a lot of school kids. HJ to me has really slow service/wait times, dirtier stores and their food seems to be far more greasy. I agree about the caramel sundaes. They're to die for at HJ and I wish they'd bring back their mango ones.

        • @Clear:

Agree that HJs burgers are more greasy but maybe that's what makes them better. A McFeast is good overall but you can taste the beef is a bit plain. Flame grilled and a little more greasy is better IMO haha. Best part of the McFeast is the slightly greasy mayo. Mayo which is plentiful in the Whopper or Bacon Deluxe.

The Grill'd chain's "healthy burgers" are more greasy than maccas.

I love love love the slightly greasy Betty's Classic from Betty's Burgers. Best ever. I travel 2 hours return just for the burger lol. They always have a queue out the door.

    • +1

I love Hungry Jack's but have to say, Maccas sundaes are much better. Didn't like the HJ one at all.

      • +1

I have the opposite view. Was addicted to HJs caramel sundaes when they were $2.

    worst app ever

    • What about expensive sugar, will you support it!

      • Companies will reduce it

    • Actually if you check it out soft serve isn’t nearly as bad for you as you’d expect.

      • -3

Without providing figures. Great we will just believe you

        • To be fair, the comment said if YOU check out the figures

        • -3

@jamesblake2908: To be fair, provide the details or Shut Up.

      Unfair neg, should be negged.

      • -4

Show how show negs be given since you seem to be the expert?

Don't like the deal, Neg is given, is that not simple fact?

Edit: This is no way neg to the poster

Seriously there needs to be Mods Booted from this site

        • +4

If the deal doesn't apply to you, you don't like the company or you want to leave a warning for people about the business or deal, you can leave a comment and then not vote.

        • +4

Don't like the deal, Neg is given, is that not simple fact?

No it's not a simple fact, perhaps you need to read the voting rules.

Just because it has sugar doesn't make it a bad deal.

Don't like sugar then don't vote or make a comment but it doesn't deserve a neg.

You food Nazis need to find another hobby.

        • -3

          @nocure:

I have the right the Vote Neg as everyone else does.

Get off your High Horse and kiss some dirt.

Do not Vote is your solution?

Then why is there a Vote in the first place?

The whole voting system is rigged, just look at it, couple of 14yo's can reduce a neg vote to 0.

How much is OzB taking money on the side for this?

        • -1

          @nocure:

The deal is bad Give me one reason I can't Neg it?

        • @Tom2222:

I have the right the Vote Neg

No you don't, you have to follow the rules like everyone else.

You don't get special exemptions, that's why your invalid neg was removed.

I didn't Neg it on Sugar

Learn to read, my original comment wasn't to you.

And as far as calling people names, you don't have that right either.

        • @Tom2222:

If you're going to call people names at least learn basic grammar and spelling.

        • @Scab:

Show me the Rule on Positive votes?

Offer not even available for purchase and people give it a +

        • @Scab:

You really want to go there. LEARN to READ

        • @Tom2222:
          Give up already

        • @Tom2222:
          Chill…..

        • @BrodenIt:

I don't see why Negs votes were removed, just because some people complained.

Anyone can + vote, but as soon as someone Neg's it, No that can't happen what so ever and it's removed.

Doesn't this seem weird to you?

        • @Tom2222:
          Check ozbargain rules.

You have to state a reason to support the neg

        • -1

          @BrodenIt:

Sigh and I did as did the other Neg Vote.

Maybe there should be a rule, unless you ACTUALLY used the offer you can't + it.

        • @Tom2222:
          Maybe ask the mods?

        • -1

          @BrodenIt:

Look at all the postings on OzB how many Neg's have there been?

          It's clearly rigged.

        • @Tom2222:
          As i said before,
          Talk with a mod.

        • @Tom2222:

          It's clearly rigged.

Yeah, it must be rigged. 😁

          I think you're onto something, it's a conspiracy.

9 times out of 10 I've gone on the app, it's either frozen or thrown errors. Has anyone actually used the app successfully?

    • Scan only, with issues too.

If you get the error about not sign on, select your store and go back. Happens almost all the time. Then you get your Rewards to load.

    • It's slow but it works eventually. On a Nexus 6P here.

  • Did anyone elses coffee loyalty card disappear? Last time that happened we all got a free coffee offer.

  • For those having issues with the app (Android), here's what I do..

First open of the app usually throws an error (couldn't sign you in or some such thing), so I exit the app then force close / remove from memory.

Second attempt usually works but sometimes need to repeat, a bit annoying that the app is so buggy but it's bugs have worked both ways: i.e. the all day small mcfeast meal that's supposed to end at 2pm.
