    Price in title?

Dont buy Nikon kit lens. They are all shit.

    • Why Nikon specifically? Most brand kit lenses are shit.

      • -4

Because this is a nikon deal.

    • Nothing wrong with the kit lenses for beginners, the 35mm f1.8 is a good lens though and a nice step up from the kit lens and gives you a 52mm (35mm equivalent) 'standard' focal length.

    • I think your skill is shit. That's why you can't reach the kit len ability. Pro never complain.

      • -5

Pro have pro cams not shitty beginners dslrs like d51×× entry level shit. I think you have no idea what you are talking about.

        • I have Nikon D5 and 3 nano lens for my photography work. My D5600 is need when I don't want to carry a big gun. I can take as good as D5 shot on D5600 with len kit without complain. You may not know what camera can do.

@cminez: you are talking all rubbish. Do some research mate. Stop being someone who think they know everything but all the know is crap.

        • @cminez: what are nano lenses?

The Nikon 35mm 1.8G has some nasty Bokeh fringing, I would say get the 50mm 1.8G and you will never look back.

    • +3

The 50mm 1.8 is another good cheap lens to add to a starter kit but 50mm is a bit too long to be used as a 'standard' lens on a crop camera (equivalent to a 75mm full frame lens) but makes a good lens for portraits.

      • -1

It's my primary lens on a crop-body, granted it's bit long but there is no fringing, and bokeh is fantastic.

        • +1

50mm is too long to be compared as a replacement to a 35mm. You're not going to be able to use it indoor as its way too tight.

        • -1

@Orpheus: Perhaps bargainaus took advantage of this deal to help mitigate that…

      • I got a D5100. Would you recommend a 35mm or 50mm. I don't like to much focused photos.

    • True. I just found out Youngnou 50mm is a great cheap lens. Just under 90 bucks

      • Youngnou has some minor issues with build quality, I would say add 50$ more and you can buy the Nikon 50mm used off eBay/Gumtree.

      • I bought a Yonguo lens once and resold it almost immediately - you very much get what you pay for, which isn't much.

    • Good info mate.

  • This is good price considering the 35mm lens. You can buy that lens for 200ish.The price of this camera has been fluctuating in HN for last couple of weeks.

  • The 50mm lense is $250.
