Pretty delicious stuff considering it is vego. However I always find I feel incredibly greasy afterwards, might just be me though.

    • +1

I agree it is quite greasy.
To be fair, no more so than KFC/HJs though.

    • +3

I always find I feel incredibly greasy afterwards

It's probably your feathers, do you preen?.

    • +1

What do you mean delicious considering it's vego?

I live purely on vego stuff and everything I eat is delicious!

      • Same.
Since going vego, everything I eat is more delicious.
Maybe because I'm actually thinking about what I eat.

        • +2

Since going vego, everything I eat is more delicious

Is this due to copious amounts of KFC eating (going from your previous profile pic)?

        • @MathNerd: Hahaha prob I used to live two doors down from a KFC, but I've been vego for almost 3 years now

        • Do you think about the fact you are eating a mammal's lactations and a birds ova?

        • @thevofa: I don't eat eggs or dairy either

        • -1

@Armyguy: You don't sound "vego" to me. You sound more sensible and consistent, possibly vegan?

        • @thevofa: Well… Technically I'm pescatarian who doesn't eat eggs or dairy. I eat fish once a year on my birthday and will eat honey.

        • -1

@Armyguy: So not (morally) sensible or consistent after all. If you don't mind me asking, why such contortions?

        • @thevofa: This is why no one likes vegans.

It would be a lot better for the planet, the animals and everyone's health if we all ate less animals and animal byproducts.

Making it seem like extreme all-or-nothing doesn't benefit anyone. Making the idea accessible by not expecting perfection is what's going to get more people to eat less meat. Certainly attacking their morals is only going to get people offside with the idea of veganism. If you really want to make a difference, be less critical and judgemental.

The sad reality is that the bees would most likely be extinct without the honey industry. So, if my cereal contains honey, I'm still going to eat it.

In modern society, it's nearly impossible to only eat and consume ethically, so wouldn't it be better if everyone just tried the best they could?

And yeah, I eat farmed fish once a year. But every other decision I make about what to buy and eat, for every other day of the year, is good. So what?

        • -1

@Armyguy: do you feel better now?

        • -1

@Armyguy: I only beat my kids one day per year. So what?

          https://www.reddit.com/r/vegancirclejerk/comments/7pp86q/im_…

        • @thevofa: yes

        • @thevofa: would you rather 3% of the population be strictly vegan or 100% of the population only eat animal products on weekends?

        • @Armyguy:

Numbers are no doubt important but I'm more concerned with each person talking responsibility for their actions, for all sentient being's being afforded the most basic right to be able to live their own lives without unnecessary hindrance or harm, and for no sentient being treated as anyone else's property rather than their heir own person.

But if I had to pick a number it would be zero. Zero tolerance for any unnecessary violence towards any fellow animal, human or otherwise.

        • @thevofa: Then you're being driven by emotion, not logic.
Trying to convince me can save the life of maximum one fish a year, you could better direct your attention on a meat eater and save the lives of hundreds.

        • @thevofa: if we take an all or nothing approach then this planet will become uninhabitable for everyone. Assuming it's not already too late.

        • @Armyguy:

You make it sound like a zero sum game - which it is most certainly not. The low hanging fruit - which you may be - is no less good for the picking.

But at the end of the day you're just making excuses. You feign concern for the lives of hundreds yet openly oppose a clear and direct call to abandon animal use altogether. Saving one life is the same as saving a million lives in the experience of that one life.

You want rain? It comes with thunder.

        • @thevofa: stop speaking in metaphors

      • Triggered.

Calm down mate, people see the word "burger" and expect a certain patty eating experience.

They are delicious burgers, considering they're vego.

        • +1

at this price i will give it. go

  • +1

thought it was a kfc post based on your avatar

  • +2

Great deal. Also don't forget 2.5% cashback from Cashrewards.
So the $8 deal is in fact $7.80 once CR is taken into account!

    • +3

20c!!! maybe you should let laura11 know about this deal
      20c ripped off

    • +2

EDIT: Just got my tracking email from Scoopon, and GST seems to be included in the $16 price I paid for 2 Scoopons, so Cashrewards was paid only on $14.54 ($0.36 cashback).
Therefore, for each voucher you buy for $8, the pre-GST price would be $7.27 ($0.18 cashback).
Therefore the $8 deal is in fact $7.82 once CR is taken into account.
I know it's only 2c, but hey, this is OzB, my username is MathNerd, and every single cent counts.

  • in not vegetarian, far from it , thought lord of the fries was just a greasy burger / chip joint …… will have to give it a go and see how good a job they do with vega burgers ……

if they havent gone broke doing vege only they must be good at what they do.

scoopon adds some extra. effort instead of a code only , but hey guess they know they will be paid and it predicts demand.

  • The vouchers I bought a while back have the expiry date as 20 Feb.

    • I think the deal just finishes on scoopon on the 20th.

  • +2

Great deal, I work in Hawthorn and live in Windsor, works out alright for me.

  • Expires 20th of Feb,
fairly short duration to use the voucher.

  • If anyone is in the Windsor area and has already used their voucher or missed out on this deal, I'm getting rid of 2 vouchers, as they expire today. I'd rather an OzBargainer make use of this rather than it expire and not be redeemed at all.
