Anyone else have trouble with self sealing water balloons? I've bought them twice (can't remember the brand but they were from Big W), and tried a few times playing with my son. Both times he would get knocked over by the balloons but they would not burst till they hit the grass. As I'm considerably larger than him, when he threw them at me they hurt like buggery but they still didn't burst on me but did when they hit the ground (grass)
Yeah, I've found that they don't always fill up as much as they need to, causing this scenario. Helps if you can put a bit of extra support under them as they fill, to let them fill more, then slowly pull the support away to let them drop.
Yep same thing. They would rarely burst except when hitting the grass. I lobbed one at my boy (with a bit more force this time to try and burst it), it just bounced off him and landed in the bucket of water, ready to be thrown again :/
Rebel also have a filling station with knot tier for $5.
Also I looked at the pump gun, its a bit of a weird device, you need the bottom of the gun to be in water, i.e in a pool for it to work
