You guys are just coming because Peter Dutton told you all our restaurants are empty; but it is just another politicians empty promise.

Seriously, autumn is a good time in Melbourne and we have brilliant restaurants. However, you may have to queue because we aren't a bunch of frightened hysterics.

Depends on the suburb I guess.

      • I would say that all suburbs have the usual level of patronage. Dutton and Turnball are trying to interfere with the Victorian election with racist scaremongering. Just appalling and Victorians aren’t the cowards they make us out to be.

        • All suburbs certainly have different levels of crime.

        • @dealman: Crime levels are actually down. Dutton and Turnbull are dog whistling with the Herald Sun. I live in Fitzroy, down the road from a housing commission block of flats which has a number of Sudanese refugees. It certainly isn’t stopping me going out and enjoying my suburb. Dutton has not even tried to backup his comments with facts, evading the issue when challenged. There are criminals that need to be dealt with, but not in the appalling attempted point scoring by this irresponsible LNP government.

        • @try2bhelpful:

You are the lucky exception, 4 out of 11 houses in my street have had an incident.

          Police are useless.

  • I know this has been discussed before, and I don't mean to start another debate, but Avalon is not Melbourne.

    • I would presume that most people flying into Avalon then head to Melbourne.

Quicker to drive to cbd from Avalon than Pakenham
