    i think this is by far still the lightest in weight powerbank right? weight and size are more important than the capacity for my case. Or is there anything else in the market that's lighter with around 5000-10000mAH?

      Its 150+ grams.. that's pretty heavy for a 5,000 mah unit

      Gearbest has Romoss PG01 3000 mah 80 grams

      This model isn't necessarily lighter but it has more capacity and is in a shape which fits easily in a back pocket. They're regularly on sale for less than $25.

    Personally, I would pay a bit extra for the Xiaomi Power Bank 2 10000mAh.

    The Xiaomi Power Bank 2 10000mAh:
    - holds twice the charge
    - has Quick Charge 2.0 (QC2.0) input and output
    - Only slightly bigger then the 5000mah.

      yes, been juggling between the 2, but 228g compare to 156g in weight :(
      is the quick charge 2.0 make a huge difference in time at charging iphone 7 plus?
      buying for mother in law who really want a very light powerbank

        If you have a QC2.0 Charger, the Xiaomi Power Bank 2 will charge a lot quicker. The 5000mah takes ages to fully charge.

        I have both. The 2 gets much more use, it charges significantly faster and lasts longer due to capacity. It is not massively thicker than the slim, similar form factor. The extra weight and thickness makes no massive difference as this is either in hand, in your back pocket or in your bag.

    Would be good to get a QUALITY 5000mah Ultraportable battery with QC as something to carry around in your pocket for those longer days where battery usage gets intense. Unless you go for the cheap crap Laser / No brand ones, finding quality ones are rather difficult.

      The best one I can think of for QC2.0 and 5000 mAh is this which is made my Xiaomi ZMI.

        Thanks for the suggestion! didn't realise about this until you point it out. The Xiaomi ZMI is actually lighter and with QC, but dimension wise is slightly bigger than the ultra thin. Will keep an eye on bargain on either one :)

          To my knowledge, the Xiaomi ZMI 5000 mAh are being discontinued and replaced by the 10000 mAh variance.

          Gearbest don't stock the ZMI 5000 mAh anymore and Banggood are out of stock.

          @RichardL: That kinda sucks. I personally think there's a market for something that is small but having capacity for 1 charge of the phone etc. I honestly do not like carrying around my 20,000mah ZMI brick everywhere with me. Even the smaller ones at 10,000 is not great to fit in your pocket. Hate the no-brand stuff that is a risk to your phone etc.

    Ive got this and my mate has the V2 10000mAh with quickcharge.

    One thing to note is the this one is a whole lot lighter and slimmer than the new one.

    Id say if you want something to carry in your pocket get this one. If you plan on carrying it i your bag mainly, get the new version.
