      How does this one compare to the Xiaomi? I've actually been looking at the Xiaomi as it has wifi and you never need to take it out the car and can simply download any video's to your phone if/when needed which seemed like a nice feature.. although I don't think it included GPS but I don't think thats too important..

    I wanted to order another one but not from LITB. Deliveries are slow as tortoise. Tracking from last order from 24 Nov 2017 shows , the order is still in China.

      Same here. Tracking shows it is still in Shanghai. I have been fobbed off on two "Package Not Received" tickets with the last one saying now to wait until late January or that I should chase it up with the post office myself.

      I imagine the GPS will give you speed. Can help prove you weren't speeding in an accident, or etc.

      I found an excellent benefit of the GPS is it sets the correct time and date every time you turn the unit on. These capacitor cameras are great but without GPS the clock resets itself if not used for a few days.

      My dash cam (not this one) the gps speed is displayed right in front of you. So when sitting on freeway and speedo shows 110 I know I'm only doing 104 or thereabouts. 110 on dash cam (or phone) is about 117 on speedo

    Hmmm, did anyone else experience the same as me…

    I paid via PayPal and got the email confirmation from PayPal and my respective bank account deducted (authorization).

    However, the LITB My Order says it’s Pending and there’s an option to click “Complete Your Payment” available still, even though I’ve already paid? Also the Order Status time line is on “Pending”, not yet reached over to “Paid” yet?

    Is this normal? Sorry first time buying from LITB!

      That is strange, after my payment my order status is "Processing" once you click into the order it says "Payment Received". You might need to contact them about your order.

    I bought this for a couple of bucks extra when the last deal from LITB was on. Things to note:

    • LITB will send you a lot of spam and clicking on the "unsubscribe" link doesn't work. You have to log into your LITB account and opt out that way
    • Delivery time is hit and miss. Mine took forever and a query to customer service gave me a pointless response
    • The quality of this dashcam is unbelievably good for the money. You can get better but you'll pay a heap more
    • Easy to install, takes about 5 minutes of tucking the cable in at the edge of the roof lining and pillar
    • Firmware is easy to update. Format the SD card and put the .bin file in the root and it does it automatically, deleting the .bin file when finished
    • The dashcam can be flaky sometimes, displaying a screen full of coloured pixels and not recording (reflashing the firmware solves this)
    • The GPS is brilliant, it stamps your location at the bottom left of the captured video (you can also have speed stamped but it's not that accurate)
    • There is a forum to read if you run into problems

          Would advise against battery, too many peoblems with heat in Australia. The car can get +60 degrees inside on a 35 degree day, a capacitor can withstand this heat, the battery will pop.

    As mentioned further above, I made a purchase and used PayPal. My PayPal has been transacted and deducted, however LITB still claim they haven't received payment yet and could take up to one week for this to happen. I've never encountered this before.

    Is this a usual LITB practice?

    Received my two dash cams today!

    First impressions just only opening the box, I’m pretty happy with the accessories it came with… The usb cable also came with together with a separate dual usb car charger 😃

    Also has extra mounting plates, although will likely not use as I’ll be using the gps mounts. But it does also have extra adhesive too.

    Comparing this to the A118C (generic) dash cam I bought years ago with the ugly fat ass usb cigarette style head charger, this A119S is way ahead.

    Let’s just now hope it works!
