  • Awesome been waiting for a deal for the new year, thanks rep! Was also hoping for some more of those bonus cacao beans, but that's ok :-)

    • HAPPY NEAR YEAR AWE$SOME PEOPLE !!!!!!!!

Sorry totally out of Cacao. Only got a 1 off 100kg from a couple who had a small sail boat and brought in small organic batch from Veneatu

      • +1

All good, I placed my order already! I was happy to see Jamocha in there again, and keen to try out the Brazil Fazenda and see how good a cold brew it makes!

        • cold brew for milk and sugar it's awesome. As black coffee it's ok but some might prefer a lighter roast if wanting more acidity

      • Do you have ground coffee as well ?

  • +1

    Woohoo!

    • +1

      YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!

  • Yaaay!!

Actually I think I sent some $$$ last week via paypal with a note for coffee… not sure if you got it? =)

I'm fully out of coffee now… so a top up would be grrreat. =P

    • Oops, sorry mate Just checked asked and heard a big "ahhhh nooooo! haha sounds like it didn't get dispatched. Will be all Colombians this time. Got 1 roasted already and just quickly cranked on a roast of a sweeter Colombia El Tambo coffee from the Narino/Tolima region.

Will go out dispatched express today. Start on the Popayan first as it has had 1 day already to degas

Hope you had a good Christmas mate. We were motorbiking in Thailand Vietnam and Malaysia. Only 1 rule in Vietnam, "Don't die" lol

  • +1

    Great, thanks!

  • +1

Just in time. Down to my last bag.

  • +1

is this any good for pour over ?

    • Ditto for Aeropress

      • +1

@inconspicuous I was drinking Colombian honey geisha we get direct trade that the farmer dropped me off when visiting before Christmas. Took an Aeropress and even a small electric burr grinder with me to Vietnam Thailand and Malaysia! It was awesome!!! They'll be on the website later this week. Great for black coffee. Good to let sit for a couple of minutes after plunging and it becomes more juicy as it cools and the acidity and flavours start to really shine

        • did you manage to try the coffee in Vietnam?
Big coffee culture and many boutique roasters now.

    • @ Darkage mmmm, not so much with this deal. Most roasted more for milk based and espresso. You can always send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes and I try to accommodate if possible but no guarantee otherwise if you want specific coffees individually small batch roasted for you to exact profile ie light roast for pour over then you can order through standard web listing and email roast profile request.

Some great Colombian geishas just landed will go up this week and cheaper as far as the gesihas go. Also some great Ethiopians for pour over at the moment

  • No fortitude? :(

  • +1

How long will the packets hold for sealed?

    • I'm wondering this too.

  • +1

Hi Rep, im getting quoted 6.95 for shipping? Says included with price…

    • Seems as though shipping is still being added when the resealable bags are included.

  • +1

Can someone recommend this before I buy them? How are they compare to supermarket's beans like Lavazza or Vittoria ORO? or Aldi's organic fairtrade coffee?

How about if compared to beans from common coffee shops like Toby's or Campos?

    • +3

I was sceptical at first as well.

Have now ordered twice with them and have been v impressed with Simon and the crew. I ordered during their holiday break when they were closed and Simon emailed from his vacation in Thailand and got someone back home to fill my order. It arrived just in time before AusPost shut down for the holidays and made my days so much more pleasant ;)

I was very impressed with their blends (Fortitude was great) - but then again, I drink mostly milk-based coffee. Supermarket coffees tend to be very old and thus not worth your while. You can easily come buy a coffee that's been roasted many months ago, particularly if you go for those big Italian brands that get roasted OS and then shipped here.

Anyway: It's not that much money. Just try it out and see whether these coffees suit you.

I haven't bought from these guys for a while, but I used to. Can attest to the quality - I ran their beans through an Aeropress and it's some of the best coffee I've ever made. I drink black coffee so there's no hiding :-)

I'm on Vittoria these days for convenience (and my wife doesn't drink coffee any more, so 2KG is a lot to get through) but can definitely attest to the quality and care put into this coffee.

I think I'm going to bite on this deal actually :-D

      • Yeah I haven't purchased from them in a while, but they're still good quality. These guys, Two Cracks, Coffee Snobs.. all great roasters.

      • Welcome back :) Always happy to do the 2 x 480g for $34.95 delivered instead if you send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes. Coffees sent will be what is currently available or from current deal :)

        • Great idea, thanks - done.

    • Received my coffee really quickly.
Coffee was fresh and has been awesome
My lucky dip was Fortitude and the Jamocha is sooo delicious.
I am reordering now that whole experience was great and splitting it between my friends (I'm keeping the Jamocha)

    Hi Op,

If I order today, what would be the roast date? And perhaps a stupid question, would they expire?

    Thanks

    • +1

Roast date will usually be within a day or two.
Beans are solid for up to a month before they start to fade away. 2weekz they peak.

These guys, along with coffee snobs are the best roasters in Australia.

  • Thank you sir. I have been drinking something inferior while you have been on leave. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!

    • Sorry been pretty crazy round these parts and had a couple of gaps in deals. If this ever happens and no deal is live then I don't mind people sending the $59.95 through Paypal at any time and I'll always honour a 4 x 480g or similar deal of fresh beans that are being roasted at that time :)

Hope you had a great Christmas break!!

  • Awesome. Thanks

  • How long will this deal be up?

    just bought a kilo

  • Is it possible to swap one with Brazil Bom Jesus?

    • Brazil Bom Jesus was really nice!

  • +1

Is there a deal for one bag only? By the time I get through 2kg they won’t be freshly roasted!

    • buy the 2x480 then?

      • That's probably still too much as I normally buy fresh roasted 250g beans that last me about a week and a half then I buy another fresh batch. I find fresh roasted beans are much better so I never buy in bulk.

    • Ye def go with the 2 x 480g, better taste, I find 2kg is too much to consume in an ideal time.

    • Always happy to do the 2 x 480g for $34.95 delivered instead if you send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes. Coffees sent will be what is currently available or from current deal :)

If just 1 bag is required then you can buy from our standard website listing :)

  • No deal on any ground beans?

    • Sorry we do grind but only for standard website listings. Beans stay fresher for longer so well worth investing in a cheap burr grinder if drinking regularly :)

  • What is the normal price on these beans? I kinda stocked up recently and dont want to order right now.

  • +2

Bought from them during their previous post, and they've tasted great each time. Very happy with my purchase and can recommend it to others.

    • Awesome πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’πŸ’—

  • +1

    Your timing Sir, is impeccable.

  • Just in time getting back from my holidays. Ordered a few times from them and they've always been great!

  • Fortitude blend deserves a place in these line ups….

    • Will be some of the lucky dips πŸ‘πŸ‘

  • Is there an expire date on these? How long will they last while in the seal bags?

    • Roast date will usually be within a day or two.
Beans are solid for up to a month before they start to fade away. 2weekz they peak.

These guys, along with coffee snobs are the best roasters in Australia.

    • about a year but only considered fresh for about a month :) Quality will diminish after this until similar to supermarket coffee

  • +2

Bear in mind that the bags from Manna Beans don't have the date of roast. This should be stated in the product description.

    • They are roast to order

    • Time stamping dates on bags for these deal listings or relying to emails with customized requests for listed deals uses up resources that make the running of these deals less viable at these price points. Everything is fresh roast for Ozbargains deals never more than 2-3 days roasted normally same day roast and ship or following day.

Coffee usually benefits from about 5 days degassing anyway.
If 1 bag had had a couple of extra days degas then I would usually put a drink first sticker on bag.

If you want extra service like cuustomized profiles or coffees etc then I'm more than happy to do it at the standard website pricing which allows enough margin for the individual small batch roasting etc.

I encourage people who have coffee requests for these deals that are outside of whats listed to send the funds(ie $59.95) through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes.(Notes are essential and can be left this way). We can't guarantee to always accommodate change of coffees etc but will always try our best.

Isn't it ideal to consume your beans within a week to 10 days of roasting for the best result? Ie. buy smaller quantities more regularly than stocking up too much.

    • This is a must, totally agree!

    • Fairly sure it can take a week (give or take) for many roasted beans to degas properly and attain their best flavour. And seem to be just fine for a much longer period also.

      • My understanding too. Best drinking between 1st and 2nd week. First week is spent degassing.

  • How does this compare to Harris Coffee Robusta beans, my favourite

  • +1

Thanks. Gonna give the 2 pack a crack!

    • Awesome welcome aboard πŸš‚πŸš‚πŸš‚πŸš‚ Choo Choo

As you have to buy the empty valve resealable bags, what sort of bags are the coffee beans shipped in?

    • +1

they come in larger resealable bags valve bags. 500gs (480gs).

  • What is 'Lucky Dip'? Couldn't find it on your website..

    • It's just whatever is being roasted at time of order. It's not a specific blend.

      • +1

        Are you a rep?

        • repeat customer and coffee lover :)

These questions pop up every time manna post it. Just helping :)

(edit - no affiliation or discount incentives)

        • -1

          @lethalmoney: aha… rep…eat customer… i see.

    • +1

I shut my eyes, eat 5 Mars Bars and spin around 50 times on the office chair and then stagger 10m to the coffee bench and whatever I pick up first is the lucky dip! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅πŸ˜΅

Oh and lethal money is not a rep, he's a "rec" Really experienced customer!

  • Happy New Year! Been waiting for the first deal of the year. Still can't beat Manna anywhere for price and quality. Keep it up guys and girls.

With regards to buying in bulk. There is two of us in our house that go through about 500g per week or two. So if you go through it at a similar rate as us and are only willing to drink coffee at its absolute peak then I'd get the half lot, or just have to pay more to buy as you go. However, for us the cost is worth it for maybe having the last bag not be at its best when we get around to drinking it.

    • Thanks Cams!! Happy New Year to you too πŸ’πŸ’πŸŽ†πŸŽ‡πŸŽ€πŸŽ€πŸŒˆπŸŒ·πŸŒ· If drinking within the month then you should be about right. If over that the quality will start to deteriorate. See how you go you should probably be fine at 500g a week otherwise you could try freezing 1 bag and then thoroughly defrosting.

If you find you're not quite drinking quick enough then you could cold brew some which will keep fresh in fridge for a couple more weeks and make nice iced coffees haha or drop down to the 2 x 480g deal.

It's mainly due to postage we do 2 x 980g to maximise on price to postage ratio ;)

  • +1

I ordered Manna Beans coffee a while ago and it was super aromatic. I could smell it as soon as I opened the door to get the package from the postman. The only catch is the mega aroma only lingers for a few days after opening.

  • How long did you guys wait for shipping? Is it quick? I’m almost out of beans and starting to panick!

    • +1

      always been quick for me

    • @Sebdeyer When did you order? I'm still here roasting now it's been that busy. You guys are caffeine crazy!! People running out from Christmas New Year break and restocking up! Trying to get all orders shipped express by tomorrow so people have coffee for the weekend!

      • Ordered yesterday 😊

  • How long is the deal likely to run for please?
I would like to order in around 4 weeks, is it better to wait and see if the deal is still on then, or could I place an order now with a note requesting to wait a while?

    • Better to wait and place order when needed :) if this one finishes another should be available. Coffees may change though

  • +1

received mine today. As always, fast shipping, thanks rep!

  • +1

Getting Bandwidth Limit Exceeded when visiting the website?

    • Yep. Me too. Was hoping to order for pick up. We're out of coffee! Ahh!

    • +2

Sorry about that guys, the website is working now. :)

    • +1

Sorry website overload lol fixed now, should have been unlimited bandwith but a mistake by IT team when upgrading servers.

  • Good afternoon rep,

Hope you're well? Just asking, my coffee hasn't arrived yet. It shows it's been hanging out at Underwood since Thursday last week. Normally your beans arrive real quick, so I was wondering if you had any extra info at your end?

    @mannabeans

    • Hi Mannabeans,

I'm in the same boat as LaTerrible where it's stuck in Underwood since Thursday last week.

    • +1

      I'm in the same boat…

In transit, 12:09pm Thu 18 Jan, UNDERWOOD QLD.

Submitted a missing / late item query on auspost website

      • @TCO - have you received a response/resolution from AusPost yet?

        • You are probably best off sending them an email directly ([email protected]) if you haven't already. They're usually pretty good about replying to that, but not sure the rep checks OzB that regularly.

        • No response. Contacted Manna Beans via their website at the same time, no response there either

  • +1

I also lodged a case with Auspost and received a case number but I haven't heard back from Auspost.
They advised me to get in touch with the seller.

It took a few attempts to get though to someone at Mannabeans but once I got through, they were very helpful in getting another order sent out to me.

  • Hi all,

My beans didn't arrive either, I emailed Manna, most helpful, picked up replacement beans the same day. It would seem to be a batch of them has gone missing in the sorting facility at Underwood?

  • No beans. No response to my query to Manna Beans. This is not how internet retailing works. If there is a problem you have to address it straight away. You can't leave your customers wondering what the hell is going on. I would forgive a stuff up by Australia Post but not the lack of response. No more orders from me Manna Beans! How to shoot your reputation down quick time. Lodged a PayPal dispute.
