Thanks man, that's awesome. Just needed a simple running watch. Bargain at $3. Good one. I've used topbuy before and didn't have any probs.

  • the horrible thing is $2.99 shipping EACH
    buy still bought one

    • +1

$3 for 2x which makes it $1.5 each

      • No, it seems to be each for me. =/
        So for two it's $5.98

        • im pretty sure its a twin pack. so if you buy one, you actually get two.

        • +1

mate, each order contains two - it's a twin pack:

"Package Content: One BLACK and One WHITE WATCH"

  • Are those watches water-resistant or water-proof?

  • Provided they are the same as these:

    http://www.airsportswatch.com/technical.html

They claim to be water resistant & shock-resistant.

  • +3

    NOT a bargain.

The standard price on ebay is $1 including postage, with a choice of 15 colours:

At auction they go for as low as $3.32 for 10 watches:

    • +4

damn i wish you posted this earlier…
      like before i ordered :P
      oh wells…

thanks for the heads up for next time

The standard price on ebay is $1

Yep I also checked this on eBay before I bought from Topbuy….$1 extra for a local sale is good value. You won't see the HK watches before Xmas.

At auction they go for as low as $3.32 for 10 watches:

The key word here is AUCTION.

      Neither points warrent a NEG.

You won’t see the HK watches before Xmas

I agree. I placed an eBay HK order on 11 Nov, it arrived yesterday.

      • +1

        Neither points warrent a NEG.

If you bothered to click jonsnow's link, it's a buy-it-now item.

PS: Warrent?!? Is that like when a landlord wages a war over missed rent? That puts a whole new spin on the word warrenty. Oh wait, it's warrant.

    • +1

damn, i like these better as i could pick colour

      lol @ ebay ones

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1-PC-Silicon-Minus-Ion-Sports-Wrist-B…
"Decompress, improves sleep, concentration energy, Improve immune function."

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Lots-10x-Minus-Ion-Wrist-Bracelet-Spo…
"Multi funcational healthy sports watch, will help balance the human body's electric balance by Far Infrared Ray and Minus Ion emitted from Tourmaline and minus ion powder."

these are better than the Powerband, these are 2 in 1!!! A watch that helps you balance.

These are all rubbish copies out of china, should last a day or 2 im sure. I got mine from Surf shop in Sorrento company named Zarzoot 50mtr water resistent and cost me $20 and i love it. Im a tradie and wear to it to work, gym etc and i dont even notice i have a watch on. You get what you pay for i guess but $20 for a quality version of this is good to me. Just google Zarzoot.

    • -3

last a day or 2? you r sure? if you never tried them before, just shut up.

      • Just check the backs of them when you receive them, they will have a silicon button, compared to a metal button on the non knock offs. Wear in water and then post how it is still working! Why do you think they are giving them away, faulty stock maybe? Design fault?

      • The fact is, they ARE knock-offs of better brands and the ones that started the craze, Breo for example. The quality is noticeable when I compare one from Dealextreme to a proper branded one.

Thanks ddhh, picked up a twin pack. Guys obviously this is a cheap chinese knock off - I hope you weren't expecting the real deal for 1/10th of the retail price (as per rodgo's price). Im sure it will last for a reasonable amount of time if you consider they are only $1.50 each. I intend to use mine when exercising and dont have the HRM handy.

As for topbuy I know people have had mixed experiences, but mine have all been good across several orders. There was one stuff up (misplaced order) but they fixed it up quick smart and even gave me a freebie to soothe this bargain consuming beast.

  • +3

I am not sure it is "cheap chinese" watch or something else. All what I know is it is $19.99 or $19.95 before 9am.

    • Whatever the previous price may be, some folks will have unrealistic expectations when they fork out $2 so if you brace them for the worse - more likely than not they'll be pleasantly suprised :) Not bagging you rodgo - i have seen the zarzoots at my local westfield, and if i was a fan of these watches I would buy the real deal too - along with the expectation that it should be a better quality product for the extra price.

  • Also isn't topbuy in Syd not HK, therefore more likely to get your package sooner.

I still think it's better than the ebay option. I don't really want 10 of them. At $1.50 each, if they last a year i'd be very happy.

  • +1

Thanks ddhh. Just perfect for my holiday. At $1.50 each, if they last 3 weeks at the beach I'll be thrilled.

  • I bought these on impulse, now curious to know whether the "ion" aspect of the watch has any detrimental health effects?

  • +1

Get the same watch for 1 cent http://www.brandsdragon.com/products/product_23983.htm with free shipping

      • +1

My girlfriend likes pink and I got through the check out just fine, yes I you cannot go straight through the paypal, click checkout first then and then enter details eg shipping preference (free p&h) then click paypal, dont neg me because you dont like pink or if you cannot work out the check out system! It's only 1 cent!

        • +1

great got one, except i forgot to change to AUD on the website so it ended up being 0.02AUD after conversion, still a good deal =D

    • Bargain, but too pink for me lol

      • Thought I'd give this a go wen saw orig deal was outa stock, but after I login to pay pal I just get internal server error message after I confirm card after postage details…did the same as kaizer and changed password just to b safe…anyone got any advice? Prodigy have you shopped with this site before?

        • yes and I've never had any problems using paypal either, if you are worried about a secure connection always check for the Verisign icon - it's a padlock in the bottom right corner of the screen

  • Original deal is outa stock

  • aww out of stock =[

  • I can't believe these cheeky buggers are shipping these from HK, not Australia.

They have now added a line saying delivery will take 15 days.

    • Thanks for the info. I'm hoping mine will get here before Xmas.

      • +2

No chance of that now…..another 15 days from today! That's simply saying they haven't even left China yet.

I order another 2 of these from ebay (less than $1 each) on the same day….they have already arrived!

Won't risk Topbuy….they pass off their stock as being local when infact it ships ex. China.

        • Another 2.5 weeks have passed and still no goods…..only $3 I know, but I just hate being taken for a ride with these sorts of scams.

One thing is for sure, TopBuy never again. A cheap lesson really.

  • Mine have arrived, cant for the love of me work out how to set the time though!

How do you actuate the A/M buttons?

    • Oh ok….when did you get them?

The two I got from ebay weren't difficult to set…however, as I already gave them away, I can't access them first hand. Didn't you get an instruction sheet with them?

      • +1

I got them last week (wednesday I think, maybe thursday). Delivered from HK by the look of it.

It did come with an instruction sheet, however all it said was push A/M buttons, but its weird, because the things labelled A/M dont push in!

        • Just received mine today. Was about to bin them when I tried to work the A/M buttons with the end of an unfurled paper-clip. It worked the buttons but pierced the plastic, not good, so then I used a pen which worked.

Push the nib of a ball-point pen into the indentation to activate the A/M buttons. (I wouldn't call them buttons I would call them holes) :)

        • Yeah, like Alice the buttons push in with a pen (or similar), one toggles between each mode, hour, minutes, date etc, and the other increases the unit of each.

  • Got mine on the 4th - all good!

  • i ordered 5 from the ebay link in the post and got mine 2 weeks later. one of them loses the time say 20 mins over a week.

  • i got mine today cause i got back from holidays and i cant figure out how to set the time.. i looked here and tried putting the pen into A&M but nothing happened.. did i get a lemon?

    • Keep trying. It took me a bit of practice to get them to work.
