Just be warned that the tablet preparations of flea products may have severe adverse side effects (eg death) in a small number of animals.
They are widely used and often safe but the consequences of your pet having a reaction can be devastating.

    Reading from product reviews:
(and yes people will generally post negative reviews for products well beyond bothering to write a positive review - I am not disputing that but I am urging you to read the -content- of the negative reviews and consider, even if that was only a 1 in 1000 chance, how would you feel if that was you?)
    https://www.productreview.com.au/p/comfortis.html?rating=1#r…

"Dosed two perfectly healthy 8 year old cats. One is dead, the other sick and vomiting for two days. Our cat died two days after the pill after being
off her food lethargic, then died. The other exactly the same symptoms but got better after 3 days."

"I had used these tablets twice before. I have three rescue cats from the same litter and they are all girls. Eight months in age. They have never suffered viruses or had health issues and I have had them since 7 weeks of age. I gave all three of them the tablet three weeks ago at 5.30pm. At 8pm one of them seemed quiet (she is usually very active). I checked on her and was concerned as I felt something was up. After going to get them all a treat I heard her scream from the bedroom and the banging of the wardrobe door. The noise was horrible and something I never want to hear again. She was lying on her side. Vomit was in front of her and I picked her up quickly and as Iifted her she seemed to lose bowl control. Her eyes were huge and popping from her head and her pupils large. She was dead. I tried to resuscitate her but there was no point. I don't know what happened and my vet is stunned too. I couldn't afford $1500 for an autopsy."

Again many people use this without an issue!! But be informed that this can happen!!
There are 80 positive reviews which I have not linked (many glowing and it can work extremely well when other products have failed) but again, consider the content of the negative reviews.

    • Tbh I have never read the reviews. That's pretty frightening, I have had to give it to my cat as he had severe flea allergy dermatitis and was miserable. He has been fine ever since he started on comfortis.. Both my cats are fine and have no fleas or skin problems anymore.

Yes it works well in most cases and I have a few friends that swear by it but I came across those reviews when looking for treatment for my dog and couldn't bring myself to give it to her in case she had a reaction. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.

Such as this person, you can feel the heartbreak:
"We gave Comfortis to our 8 year old, 14 pound cat. Within four hours she was dead. Do not give this product to your cat until you do your own research. This product is killing cats. I am sorry, Lilly. So sorry"

Note: I do not work for any company even remotely related to any flea or animal products and I have read similar issues with other tablet based flea controls not just comfortis. I am not saying don't use it, just be informed.
