      4K, 144hz, g-sync, ips = the dream

      • No HDR?

      • what is the cost of that dream at the cheapest?

I think you'll find the Dell S2417DG to be the closest thing at the most fair price for a GSYNC 144hz 1440p. Have it and love it.

edit: oops he said 4k, oh wells, never explored for a 4k option.

        • @Vyrocious: High refresh rate gaming at 4k isn't an option, until the BFGD's arrive, afaik.

      • Why pay an arm and a leg and probably half a cow to buy something that you cannot even use properly in 99% of the games? There are simply no GPUs that can run that properly unless you go low settings. I understand that is the dream, but if it is a dream but why not dream at 8k, 240hz, gsync + freesync, oled, hdr.

        • Only was pointing out my own preferences, but if we are talking about what's more probable then no way I can even run games at 144hz on a 4k monitor even with a 1080ti (unless I tone the settings down to super low which to me defeats the purpose). HDR is a must (just didn't think of it at that point lol) but at 240hz I think the diminished returns really will come to a point where it becomes redundant. Refresh rates are only relevant to the user as I myself have not been able to distinguish the difference between 120hz and 144hz when trying both.
