  • Cost me $181.57 AUD for 1 set (Around $50 postage per set)

  • Very good value.. Best if seen is about $280 with the 20% off

  • my AVR is not capable of Atmos (it is an old model) but keen to buy this for the rear surround to make it 7.1. Currently I have a 5.1 setup. Will these speakers work?

    • I believe so, they connect like regular speakers, don't quote me on it, maybe wait for a more learned person to respond.

It'll be fine provided you can mount them easily enough. Those extra 2 channels won't be mind blowing unless the room is particularly big though.

Though ideally you wouldn't have upfiring speakers as surrounds.

        ^This.

Will work, but better to spend your $200 odd on front firing speakers. These smaller speakers are for the higher frequencies, and they are typically "direct" (unlike lower frequencies that are non linear and it doesn't really matter which way the cone is firing). You'd be missing out on a lot of the higher frequencies with these (and the channel being sent to them is different to the purpose of them).

In a nutshell, use other speakers ;).

        • Thanks mate

      • Thanks bud

Cheers. Nice deal. Picked up a set. Hopefully will arrive in time for my birthday :)

    • wow ur rich

  • how does compare to ceiling? i keep reading that ceiling is the preferred - anyone have an experience

    • I have it, havent hooked it up yet, but ceiling should definitely be better, however if that's not possible because you rent ect, this could be a decent alternative, especially if your ceiling is at 2.4 or 2.7

      • thx mate - is the recommended height for ceiling speakers 3m?

        • +1

Havent heard such thing, dont think it matter too much since your receivers auto calibration system will help dial in the sound

These sound way better than a ceiling.

  • I'm totally unconvinced that atmos is worth investing in. It seems like the soundbar equivalent of simply adding two more front firing up-high or ceiling speakers.

I never liked paying more for less.

  • Thanks OP, this is great value, just bought two sets 😀

  • Is this deal now expired? Price coming up $199.95 USD
