  • Looks like a fantastic deal for a branded mechanical keyboard with a number pad. Surprised there isn't more interest.

  • I bought this about a year ago for $105.50 with a 20% off ebay sale.
    Happy with it.

    • How good for typing/programming ? I'm looking to replace my generic office keyboard

      • i think it's fine for typing.
definitely a good upgrade from a membrane keyboard.

        • Thanks - forgot to ask how noisy the keys are. Currently using Logitech Orion G910 at home which is fine

        • @freesteakknives: I don't think they're too noisy, but that's subjective. It'll probably be annoying for someone else if they're in the same room?

        • @videlity: thanks mate - I'll give it a crack. open plan office.

        • @videlity: Hate to say it's too noisy to use in the workplace. The logitech g910 is much quieter.

  • Does anyone know if this version is backlit?

    • Yes but only green.

  • I have this model, bought it from MSY @ RRP :(

I dont really like the switch that much, Id rather get an MX switch after trying both Red Silent and Brown. YMMV.

  • Doesn't really say which type of mechanical switch these are, just 50g of actuation force.

Definitely is going to blow a typical membrane keyboard out of the water and a good introduction mechanical keyboard for the price. I would however prefer to buy the right keyboard once rather than this, e.g. a Cherry MX switch (of preference) with PBT doubleshot keycaps that will last.

    • razer has their own switches which is a disadvantage if you need to replace them.

    • This keyboard uses the Razer Green Switches, which very similar to Cherry MX Blues and Khail Blues. In fact, Khail are the ones who manufacture Razer switches to Razer's own specifications.

  • is this loud? I have a ducky-one cherry blue switch at work and it would be too loud for gaming at home…

    • Most people would say the opposite.. I hope you're not in an open floor plan at work, or your colleagues must hate you clacking away.

      • it doesn't annoy me :) I'm putting o-rings on soon though. I did ask the other 3 guys and they were fine with it (one has blue switches, one red and the other a membraney one)

I like the feel of mechanical but don't want the sound, and now I'm looking for a gaming keyboard.

        • Get brown. Tactile click but no sound (except bottoming out)

        • thank you, i will now start my search for a cherry brown gaming keyboard!

        • @scrottyB: I just bought an iKBC f108 RGB a few weeks ago with mx browns.

It's amazing, the build quality compared to my other 2 boards is awesome. Highly recommend. A bit pricey but I reckon it's worth every penny.
