Should be good for your purpose.. just top up small amount for extra warranty.

Sign up shipster for free delivery too

      • Shipster delivery does not apply for bulky stuff I think. It has to be something the postie can carry by him/herself.

      • Tried to use Shipster, did all the things they said to do, diddnt fix my shipping costs… :(

      • Same… shipster doesn't work. Bummer :(

if you have a PS4 pro I'd recommend getting HDR on a brand tv (e.g Sony, LG). If you don't mind spending a lot then don't get this. If you are on a budget this may be a good option.

      • Just saw this deal posted as well. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/357531 any thoughts on this TV/Brand?
Unfortunately I'm on a pretty tight budget. Don't want to spend over $500 for a tv I only use 2/3 times a week max. Standard PS4 use as well.
        Cheers

either or, this tv or that one if you're not putting that much use into the item. the other tv that you suggested is 5in bigger, has built in android (so you can watch Netflix on it) and is @ Harvey Norman so you can pick it up in store if you like. also has UHD (not a big diff from HDR) This Kogan tv is just a generic 4K LED Tv (colours may be a bit washed out)

maybe go for the Altius TV, everyone has their own pros and cons so you can see how it suits you and not go through the hassle of postage.

        • @F4ncy2: I think UHD < 4K technically but either way both are really 4K TV's

I’m in the same boat. Considered purchasing a bottom-price option like this one or the Kogan that was only recently at this price. I ended up deciding on watching GraysOnline and picked up a Super UHD LG 49” with multiple HDR standards for $700 all up. It’s officially “reconditioned” but consumer law warranty applies so I’m not fussed.

    • I have this Tv. Video Quality is on par with tv twice or thrice its price. Audio is not that good but you can always install speakers.

Don't have, click the link n see details

  • Went in for this the other day and currently awaiting delivery. $419 for a 50 inch 4K TV was ultimately what I went in for.
Needed to upgrade an old AKAI 32 inch. didn't even have a remote for it. Will report back here when I have constructed some opinions on it

    • Yeah, please update us when you have tested this unit

      Good budget tv

      • Picture quality is quite good - particularly when using HDMI input and HD quality shows/movies. Played The Reverent through it and was impressive to be honest. Sound quality is above what I expected. For $419 I gotta say I am quite happy with the TV. Refresh rate is only 50-60 but for what you pay I think its a bargain to be had

        • How much u paid in total?

Did you opt for extended warranty?

        • @DarthLord: $419 free postage, $419 total. No extra warranty

I would like to make an amendment to my original thoughts- there is some slight light blurring/bleeding around the edges of the screen (it looks slightly whiter than the rest of the screen), but is only notable watching sport (light green fields I suppose) and some video games. HD films and content no worries

          @scouseandy:

Mind to share how you score free shipping? Someone here said shipster free shipping doesn't apply for bulky item

        • @DarthLord:

It was a lucky coincidence, when I checked the TV it had "Free Shipping". The very next day there was no longer free shipping.

I've heard they run free shipping promos frequently but spontaneously also
