    how long do these filter usually last? getting confused now between Mi Air Purifier first one, Mi 2, Mi 2S as well

      Xiaomi recommends replacing the filter every 6 months, but you should get more than 12 months in Australia with some vacuuming.

      The original Air Purifier was discontinued years ago and you can't buy it. Mi 1, Mi 2 and Mi 2S all work with the same filters. This video gives you a good breakdown of the 2S in comparison with the others.

        sweet as, thanks for this mate, will check the videos and do some research. heard that a firmware update has improved the latest model so that it actually sustains maximum output (reviews were saying it cycled down thus not filtering out all the air)

          Yep that's correct. There is a favourite button that you can long press to choose the speed. I normally set it to 9-12m² overnight to cover my room. It's louder than auto/sleep but not loud enough to keep me awake like turbo mode.

      I haven't tested it myself but it should. That and vacuuming in the dust from the filter should make it last longer.
