I just got the other one with surge protection for $2 which I can use with a cheapo $2 HPM powerboard I got from when dicksmith closed. I'm not sure if it will work well, but I heard it should from what I've been reading.
It might be worthwhile for others too. I think the surge protection sucks though… I'm not sure what it is rated at, but too late as I already bought it. I'll just use it to surge protect some random items like fan, battery charger and non-expensive items.

I think the criteria must have been, "one per household", "one per account", "not created on Australia day 2018"
I don't think they shipped to anyone who they think abused it. (Which is sad because some people have more than one person in their household with a catch account).
