Ok for quick car wash , good for little else.
If you're going to do it , buy spares

    • +1

      Good for little else?
Ok, so here's what you do. You grab a 2L plastic coke bottle and a pair of scissors….

      • +1

        Then the bucket splits,
        you lose all you water,
you're wet (and so's everything else)
and you cut up the only alternative to your Bucket B@#g?
        Now what…

        • +3

Haha like any good ozbargainer, I have another 19 of those buckets for no reason at all.
So after ALOT of cursing, I'd just make em russian buckets… bucket in a bucket in a bucket.

        This guy gets it.

    • We use these for holding paint or stain cans. Stops the paint/stain going everywhere and can throw them out when too stained

      • that's about the only thing I use it for.

Note: you only ever want to fill them about half way. In spite of those bullet points these things bend and break very easily with more than that in them.

    • This. I opened this deal just to post what DonWilson said, they break very easily.

I go thru a dozen a year. Disposable buckets. Commercial use? May be they mean a prop in TV commercials.

  • I remember when Bunnings used to have Australian Made buckets for not much more.

    • They weren't any better if I recall correctly

      • Have a cracker aust made bucket, can fill it until overflowing and keeps it shape. These rubbish things 7l and thats it, and it is distorted.

        Anyway, price is cheap.

Dam , I was after a single purpose bucket.

  • +2

…unless its designed to hold southern fried chicken im not interested

    • +1

Polypropylene is food safe, so yes.

  • +2

It's like the manufacturer of these buckets are 3D printing them in draft quality mode…

  • There's no hole in my bucket, dear Liza dear Liza

  • +2

Wonder what the refund policy is like at Bunnings…

    Buy, wash car, breaks, refund.
Probably not worth the petrol cost tho unless I live next door….

  • +1

Horrible quality. There's nothing much you can do with its thin plastic build. Will not recommend.

  • Great for those with pools

  • Are these made to US/UK sizes? I remember when a standard bucket was 10L…

  • Perfect for those long gaming nights

Can't go past the 20lt emtpy paint bucket with lid and decent handle or
    15lt plasterers bucket for FREE.
    Hit up a tradey ,
you'd be shocked the good stuff that just gets chucked .

  • +1

I'll finally be able to tick this off my list.

No need for these fancy water proof buckets. Here is a link on how to make an origami bucket.

If you you can get paper big enough think of how much ozbargainy money you could save.

  • considering how much they charge for plant pots, this could go ;)

  • Gross. Put your pail away

  • My parents always taught me to purchase buckets with METAL handles. Mitre 10's normal price (for me) is $1 a bucket with metal handles. No link available, unfortunately.

  • Wow you've parents really got down to the Nitty gritty.
I like the 20lt type nappy bucket n lid, as they're handy when camping.
    To pack in,
Exta container to bring washing water back to base,
Washing clothes while you drive, and dish washing.
Also a sealed bin for the drive home.

  • they crack so easily :(

Crap handle. Buy a better bucket..

  • used plenty of these over the years, solely for vomit!

  • I guess I can use them to carry my eneloops.

  • if one needs to pay for a bucket, please hand in your ozbargain badge.

  • isn't this the normal price?
    where's the bargain?

  • I guess this is only good for a quick laundry wash of day a few items otherwise what

  • Before everyone get's too excited, the normal price for these at K-Mart is $1.00 so there is only so much you can save really…

  • Username: Buckets
    Password: Buckets

  • I removed the handle and use it as bin.

  • Can I wear these to the cricket?

  • Doesn't last outside for more than six months. Splits at the bottom. But then again it is 51 cents..

Meh. Nothing beats a protein bucket or a 20L paint tin as mentioned above.

  • I have previously purchased Bunnings cheap bucket before. They are rubbish.

You will singing to ‘Dear Liza’ in not to long.

  • Crap buckets which normally sell for 49c
Commercial use is a joke. Handle breaks away with any weight. Hard up holding a bucket of water. These are RUBBISH!
