When you have these on and you talk, your own voice sounds different to you. You sound the way other people hear you, or close to it, instead of how you hear yourself.
Simply blocking your ears with your hands doesn't produce this effect. I'm not sure what's going on. It takes a bit to get used to.
The headphones are great btw. The noise canceling is the best I've heard or not-heard I should say.

These are great. spent a tonne of time comparing these and the bose QC35. bose have a nicer feel on your head and are lighter, but don't offer LDAC, which means they won't play well with your home theatre… receiver, PS4, etc. Plus these have some great features, like cupping your right ear to hear ambient sounds and better sound quality. No regrets on m purchase, even though I paid $20 more in the last ozbargain deal 3 weeks ago. If you are only using for flight travel, maybe go the bose, but for an all round great headphone, get these hands down

Just read that these shut off after 5 minutes if they're not connected via bluetooth or cable. So you can't use them to sleep on a plane. That's a dealbreaker for me.
