came here to say exactly the same thing!

  • so they are just giving everyone a free lunch for most of the week?

yes, as long as you enjoy the poor food standards outlined above ^

I'm pretty sure the 're-opening' is going to be like a fresh start. If they closed down for a while, they've most likely cleaned up the store (and their act) and they'll be in the spotlight by the City of Nedlands so it's in their best interest not to get fined again.

        • I work down the road from here … it was closed for ages and has been open quite a few weeks now - looks like it was fully gutted and refitted inside.

You should visit Spencer Village food court in Thornlie WA to see what is it like to tick off all the non-compliance and way way below the standard of cleanliness.

    • is it still like that? I used to go there about 10+ years ago and i heard they cleaned up their act in the last few years haha

      • Nah. You will need to bring your own wipes to clean the tables and benches if you want to sit and eat comfortably there otherwise just takeaway but still watchout for the food or drink spilled on the floor while you are in motion in the food court.

        • Its not that bad (just like any other food court) & you get what you pay for (its pretty cheap).
The food is pretty authentic there….better then most food courts in perth!

        • @gtech: the dining environment is more authentic I believe. Are all the food courts that bad now? I have been to Perth CBD food court which the average of food prices at $9.50 to $11 but none of them has spilled food and drink on the floor for customers to step on and tables and chairs are cleaned almost right after the customers finish and leave. Well I guess the cleanliness standard is lower now hence the customers expectations.

  • Do I get a free drink?

  • Interested for a comments on how busy / fast they were serving .. glanced at 11:10 and the queue was about 10 people outside - my lunch break isn't that long.

  • got to the counter at 1.30 and was told they had "misjudged" the popularity of a free lunch and sold out early. they promised they could meet demand for the subsequent days.

also, where the hell are you supposed to park around there?

  • Pretty sure they are feeding the entire UWA student body.

    • well, those that have dragged their arses off to campus ahead of the semester officially starting lol
