With all these puns, I was expecting you to say something like:
    Ta, TightArse. :P

Does PJC approve of viewing eneloops by smart lightbulbs?

    • No

      • +1

Good price if Only it was 800-1000 lumens, it is 450 lumens.

        • Agreed, such limited uses at that output.

  • +10

Don't like these deals where the price is only the price because you've used a certain number of points to get it. Otherwise why don't we all just post $1 flight to New York (with xxx,xxx reward points)?

    • +13

If you can get me a $1 flight to New York simply by signing up a disposable email and putting a random image on a webpage, you can most certainly post it as a deal ;)

    • +5

Yup, but this is actually obtainable without spending a cent

    • +3

Haters gonna hate. BrodenIt gonna enloop.

  • Can only use 116 points on this order, I am guessing due to new account. Can't use the full 150 points

    • Apply your 116 points and double check that the price is USD $5.32/~AUD $6.70

      That's normal.

  • +1

So this works with the Xiaomi app / home assistant?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • Awesome thanks!

    • +6

      Username does not checkout.

    • +1

I dont think they work with yeelight tho

    • These are a massive pain to get working with hass. Get a yeelight instead

      • +1

I can understand the pain for some - as it its not as simple as added some configuration to HASS. The difficulty is that you need to find your TOKEN/KEY for the device (after adding it to Mi Home), which basically involves digging into the SQLite db stored within the app and querying for the key. Following the guides, its a fairly easy process to follow… and only needs to be followed once (you can query for all the device keys, presuming you have set them all up through Mi Home)

        • +1

Mi Home has dropped the ability to get the token in the new versions, you have to install MiHome 5.0.19 manually now to get tokens https://github.com/ultrara1n/MiToolkit/issues/12 This will work until MiHome stops supporting older installs connecting to their web interface

        • @asa79:

So, if anyone's worried about missing out on getting the tokens, buy quick and get tokens quick.

        • @v00d00 AU: Yep thats it, a little annoying for people with robot vac and air purifiers

    • These lights inferior because they are dimmer than yeelights. Don't waste your money on these.

Yeelights have a 33% higher lux rating than these poor excuses for a light bulb. Given that yeelights can be dimmed, it makes no sense to buy these.

  • These are the white (not RGB) right?

    • Yes, they aren't rgb

  • +1

Thanks OP. Grabbed one, instructions where easy enough to follow.

Although for some reason I got robbed of an extra 10 cents, came to USD 5.42.

    • Did you select USD currency?

      • +1

        Yep

        • +1

Thanks updated the title. Sorry I'm on mobile and I can't see the USD price so I estimated it instead.

Happy to PayPal you 10 cent :)

        • +1

@BrodenIt: … And Paypal will keep it all 😂

  • This is warm white or cool white bulb ?

    • You can change the level between warm-cool.

  • +3

Unfortunately no Yeelight support which means no google home support and limited home assistant support

    • +2

But its 6 bucks. Tell me a alternative for the same price.

    • Working fine in home assistant for me.

      • I found the home assistant set up, not as nice as the yeelights tho.
Tho still no google support until Mi Home china supports google/alexa
I have all bulbs in yeelight so i can use both google home and home assistant for automation

  • Bargain price but this smart light doesn't integrate directly/easily with Google Home right?

    • +2

Nope as Mi App isnt supported by google home, only Yeelight

    • +9

      get outta 'ere

    • -6

2 negative votes ???? LOL - WHATEVER - TERRIBLE DEAL got to jump through all those hoops

      • +4

Terrible Deal? You literally need to spend a minute out of your day to do this, it isn’t even that complicated. Not anywhere to close to worthy of a neg.

Make an account, add an avatar and buy. Yeah sooo hard to do. I couldn’t imagine your thoughts on people picking up vs getting something delivered!

      • +1

what are these hoops? register an account and use the points and code?

      • +1

Seriously?? this is a great deal, and if you verify your email and upload a pic, which takes a few seconds, you save even more!

Your negative vote on this post is way out of line.

    • +1

I agree! Terrible deserves a neg!

      • +2

Fake bargain from the failing Brodenit times. SAD

    • Mate this site is not for you

  • Why do I need a smart bulb?

    • Putting lights on timers is one possible reason.

    • Because you're so dim

  • +3

Will these bulbs help me check on eneloops?

    • +2

      Yes

      • +3

excellent,. then as soon as PJC approves I shall buy all the Xiaomi's.

  • My house has normal fluoro downlights, I believe sealed, which seems to cause issues with me constantly burning out globes (recent one just lasted an hour or two).

Any thoughts if something like these may be a better option? given most rooms have minimum 4, I can get away with less light per globe.

  • +6

We like to see PJC. Bargains have PJC.

Your post represent a shop window, right now there is no PJC maneqquin in your window.

  • +2

    Any PJCs??

  • Not sure why we need to send a PM to a user.

I applied the coupon the amount shows up as $6.74. Can't I just proceed to payment?

    • +1

Lol, of course. I only left the persons pm there in case you had any issues.

    • Remove shipping insurance.

  • Don’t why all my paid orders from DressLily are always cancelled and refunded by them. Anyone has the same problem?

    • +1

      Ask the rep

    • +1

May be they don't like person of your username

      • +1

        Thanks Mr Prime Minister.

  • +4

Here is how to attach these to Home Assistant https://home-assistant.io/components/light.xiaomi_miio/ and https://home-assistant.io/components/vacuum.xiaomi_miio/#ret…
Little messy compared to the Yeelights

    • +1

Thank you for the information asa, i have bookmarked for when I have built up enough courage to try and get home assistant working.

    • thanks mate, bought a couple of these.

    • Thanks

I recently updated my HA(virtual env) from 0.61 to 0.62 and my yeelights rgb bulbs are now missing but yeelight striplights still available. Xiaomi vacuum also lost but was able to fix it again after using construct==2.8.22. RGB bulbs still not discovered any thoughts? Thanks

    • I spoke too soon, seems the new version of MiHome disables ability to get the tokens https://github.com/ultrara1n/MiToolkit/issues/12
You have to use older version of MiHome 5.0.19

  • Thanks OP! Worked like a charm:)

  • +1

Damn I am using a stupid LED light bulb. I am ashamed.

  • Seemingly expired, use limit reached.

  • Looks like the ubiquitous MiLight?

Doesn't waste an omni-directional spray - largely illuminating the ceiling, & walls. Tho better reflection when these are light coloured - best white. Helping with picking up spiders, & webs ;)

As with a downlight [or torch] illumination is directed straight ahead - down to the room below.
A reflector does help with incandescent sprayers - but, unless vented, can fry LED/CFL globes.Unnecessary for LED downlighting globes/bulbs.

We third chimps see [& hear] in an exponential fashion - so illumination at a point (LUX) needs to be quadrupled to appear twice as bright. Specific LUX is also higher from LED lighting being concentrated from TOTAL LUMENS.
Certainly no laser - generally a 120 degree Beam Angle. LUX illumination reducing to half at 60 degrees off centre.

460 Lm might arguably be considered equivalent to ~740 from an incandescent/CFL omni sprayer - needing around 1,600 Lm from one of the latter to give around 50% greater [third chimp] illumination.
Inverse Square Law? - check WikiP!

Mine give better than [inexpensive remote controlled] Architectural Level Dimming - to the Chimp 3 ten levels of illumination being added a moonlight setting - that both young & old appreciate. Just a 0.4W draw too.

Ten variations between a reading daylight 'blue' light & a nighttime restful 'warm' illumination.

    Brilliant in a lamp!!

    Clever folk the chinese.
