Limit of 2 dozen bottles? Damn I wanted to buy 450.

    • +3

haha how dare they suggest I'm an alcoholic.

  • Hmm wonder if I should pick up some jonny walker or just stick to my usual jim beam for $25 at the local bottleo.

    • 25 dollar JB is a good price, and if its for mixing I would stick with that.

  • SA
Stella or Boags Premium for $36.90.
    That's insanely good!

    • Boags Premium for $36.90

Link please as I can't see that price

is it the imported stella? brewed under licence taste like crap.

    • Agreed, but less than $40 for Boags is unheard of here..

  • Very good price for Johnnie Walker Black, if that whisky tickles your fancy.

  • Hey DM, are those prices negotiable?

  • Excellent - will pick up a couple for myself and mates at this price.

  • Anyone know how much do they sell this Black Johnnie Walker at Duty Free?

  • +2

Wow that's the best price I have seen for Johnnie Walker Black label. Why bother buying red if you can get black for a few dollars more. Will get quite a few for dad and myself.

  • +1

Great price for Johnnie black eventhough 1st choice liquor is slightly cheaper at $34.50

  • Is the johnnie black good for mixing? I like to drink straight as well, but sometimes cant beat a scotch and coke.

    • I only drink it mixed.

Put it this way, I always used to buy red label and mix with coke. Last week DM had chivas regal 12yo for 36 so i got some of that. Tasts vey very very slightly smoother than red label when mixed, so if your mixing stick with the cheapy.

If your takin it straight then thats a diff story.

      • thanks. i might give it a go since its only a few bucks more than the red label. i also mostly drink it mixed but its nice straight up occasionally :)

      • I'm amazed you can taste anything over the coke. Plus as a Scot, part of me dies everytime I hear of someone mixing good whisky with anything. At least its not a single-malt.

    • I reckon it's a great all rounder and a nice smooth blend. Not a fan of green, so red and even better black!

Also, for duty free it depends where you get it, but in Aus I'd have to say this price would be close to it.

need more lager deals for us real blokes

  • "Johnnie Walker Black, breakfast of champions, accept no substitutes"

  • Rep, any special for VB in SA?

  • If dan murphy isnt near your place, check out 1st choice liquor store. They are selling the johnnie walker black label for $36.90. I went to their Ashfield store showing them a printout of this catalogue and they gladly price matched it. This is still a great deal!

It is locally brewed Stella Artois which tastes like piss so not much of a bargain at all.

    • You know what piss tastes like? To each their own, I guess.

    • +2

regardless of your opinion of the product on offer, can you find a better deal? If not your neg is invalid.

    • When I checked with my local DM about the origin they confirmed it was locally brewed and commented, "yeah, well that explains why it is so cheap because the real stuff never gets that low".

Unfortunately these locally produced imitations really undermine the reputation of some outstanding foreign beers.

      • It used to be the other way around and the import would actually be cheaper.. now they completely stopped stocking the import and only got the locally brewed. Its still better than most beers available in Aus, but has nothing on the real stuff.

  • this Deal is worth a + just for the JWB alone, thank you DM

  • -3

WTF DM. This is hardly a deal if you have NO STOCK! I went in to buy the Johhnie Walker and it was all sold out! Then though might as well get some Stella Artois and it was the brewed under licence crap. Why do you not sell the proper IMPORT?

also wow, you claim to be cheapest but your jim beam prices are not cheap at all.

  • went to two DM and out of stock for the Stella. Got a rain check instead.

  • scubacoles
    Boags Premium for $36.90.

Anyone find the link BP for $36.90 as scubacoles mentioned above?

  • My local 1st Choice had JW Black Label on special for $34.50. Grabbed a couple.
