      It actually could charge it faster if the charger currently being used isn't the stock charger or one with similar Volts and Amps as the stock charger.

      For example, my phone that doesn't have quick charge is rated to charge at a maximum of 2.1 amps. I use 2 different chargers to charge my phone one is rated at 850mA and the other is rated at 1000mA. If I bought this charger my phone would charge slightly faster as I am using chargers with less amps than what my phone is rated for.
