  • just be aware, this is micro usb for charging, not type c. i assumed it was type c and was about to order.

    • Mi Power Bank Pro is Type C.

      • yes, which i have as well, but not this version, although they looked similar if not careful

      • I bought the Pro version from shopping Square and the Type C seems to be input only. Doesnt seem to work for output.

In the user manual, it says input.

U can buy a micro—>USB C adaptor for less than $1.. most phones come with 1 in the box…

      • -2

but the adaptor will stick out and likely to be bumped and may damage the charging port of the power bank

        • Understand, although the same thing can happen with just the straight cable plugged in also, the micro USB connectors can be rather flimsy. Was highlighting the adaptor as an option.. ;)

  • Will this charge a USB-C phone (currently on an LG G6) to its potential?

  • Might just get one of these and see what all the fuss is about.
Now just to decide Silver or Black?

  • and you might get nothing for quite a while cuz its shopping square….

  • I wonder how long before we see fake Xiaomi products?

    • In my case, 12 months ago.

    • 3-4 years ago they were rampant with the original power banks. Sellers are good these days and don't stock a lot of generic.

i am so much against the idea of carrying a power bank around. are those who do it always explore in the wildness? therefore no power socket. a decent phone's battery should be sufficient for a few hours of heavy usage.

If you have to catch a plane somewhere with a connecting flight involved, then you'll possibly see the benefit of being able to charge your phone without fighting for a power socket in the airline terminal.

Of course if you're back at home every day then it's not an issue.

  • Can anyone smarter than me help me understand the fast charging feature? I have an Oppo R9S which requires you to use the OEM charger in order to use 'Vooc'. Would this power bank charge my phone as fast / faster than a generic charger / or the same as a generic charger.

  • Of interest this later Mi LiPo gave inferior low (~0.40A .. 2W) USB supply than my older (shorter, fatter 4x18650) Mi Power Bank.
A high ~5.20V .. poorer voltage control - from expecting a higher draw than an original 500mA (0.5A) USB maximum?

Incidentally, IIRC, I might only average around 75% overall efficiency IN/OUT from both Mi ;-)
Still good at retaining charge over time!

  • I missed out … ffs

can anyone comment if these are good to use for a dash cam and parking mode ?

12 hours parking mode is all that's needed ..

  • I got mine. Happy with it so far though haven't really had the opportunity to use it much yet.

I have some questions and hoping someone here might be able to answer.

Manual is in Chinese. No problem, googled for an English manual. This manual mentions an app. ZMI power bank app. It can connect to this charger and report back info about the battery. Looks like it's only available in Chinese. I'm so curious to try it, I'm willing to try it, even if it's in Chinese.sadly it's not available in the Google play store. And I can't find it anywhere else, eg apk mirror.

    My odds seem slim.Any ideas?
