Good price for a pair of brushless tools, wireless charging a great bonus too. Placed an order.

The checkout process seemed buggy for accepting my card (didn't recognise the security code) so checked out with PayPal instead.

    • Thank you for the feedback.

We will look into the checkout issue.

      • Also do you know if this pack is eligible for any of the promos at present?

Model number 0.615.990.HD6 not listed in the T&Cs so I would assume not. Submit it anyway with receipt and see what happens…

        • @Doge: I shouldn't have been so lazy to not check the T&C's - thanks.
Actually the T&C limit it to certain sellers anyway. No biggie.

  • OP, thinking of purchasing but how long does standard shipping take to adelaide (and other major cities)? Your shipping and returns site doesn't say what the shipping time is like.

    • Hi,

Shipping should be about 2 - 3 business days.

      • Thx!

For a weekend around the home diy guy, how good of a deal would this be. Or should I settle on something cheaper?

    • +2

I would guess something like this would last you 10 years so you're not going to save a huge amount of money over the life of the product going for a cheaper combo. Bosch blue is quality gear and brushless motor is a bonus at this price. In 5 years time you'll have no idea how much you spent on it and will be happy you own some good quality gear.

Only thing to consider is that you'd probably stick with Bosch blue for any new cordless tools to keep batteries/charger the same.

      OzBragin is on the money.
Comparing this kit to Ozito, you'd be spending around $250 sale prices for Brushless, and around $180 Brushed.
But the torque you get on this quality gear is double that of the cheap stuff, so you're getting measurably more tool for the small amount of extra cash.

  • Can anyone comment on how they think this Bosch set compares to this DeWalt deal from the start of the year:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/352818

    • Interested to know too

      • This deal =available
        Dewalt deal =sold out

        • +1

No offence, but that comment is kinda pointless.
Obviously twat is asking about model to model comparison, So if dewalt's kit is better, people would rather wait it out for the next dewalt sale.

          Nways, thanks for trying tho.

          @Nivlac:
No offence taken I agree my answer is pretty pointless. Just as much point as comparing this to a deal which probably can't be compared to the next dewalt deal.

        • @LGW:
          Ok

        • +1

          @Nivlac:
In all seriousness they are both great value for money and can tell you from first hand experience the bosch impact driver is already major overkill when performing any DIY jobs at home. I love it.

        • @LGW:
Thanks man, for the first hand info.

          You're alright 👍

    • Both are great deals and are comparable. You get a kit box with the dewalt but only a bag with the bosch. I prefer the bosch (bit lighter and easier to hold) although the difference is honestly trivial.

The wireless thing is a bit of a gimmick so dont let that sway you.

    • They're pretty comparable.
The Bosch has less torque, but are more compact, so arguably more useful as they can get into spaces the DeWalt can't.
If you need the extra grunt, you're probably looking at the next level of tool up anyway. Both deals are for Prosumer level gear, you can tell just from the 2Ah batteries that no Tradie would even bother owning. Anyone needing outright torque should only be looking at the Top End Professional ranges.

Damn! I bought the same impact driver and wireless charger and battery last month for almost the same price as this combo :/ I can say that the impact driver is a beast, don't even bother trying to use any aldi screws with it as it'll either just rip the head to shreads or turn the screw into a corkscrew lol.

  • Looks like a good deal, would buy if I didn't already have a drill / impact wrench!

    • Same here. I bought this deal as I needed more batteries, and wireless batteries appeal for my type of use, and this deal is only marginally more than the cost of 2Ah batteries and the wireless charger as it is.

I'll probably sell my old bare tools on eBay for whatever I can get for them (maybe $40-$50ea), which makes the deal even more attractive.

  • Is this deal sold out?

  • OP/ Store Rep - are they sold out? Any more for late to the party ozbargainers.

  • OP - where can you click buy - please make more available. This drill has no issues going into concrete?
