Best Way To Deliver Flowers (Roses) for Valentines Day?

As much as I think flowers are a complete waste of time and a massive con…. my wife doesn't feel that way haha. It's our first Valentine's day together (as a married couple) and I'd like to get some flowers delivered to her work.

I thinking 6-10 roses or something like that.

I've been looking at a few options online, but does anyone have any ideas on how to do it will, but do it cheap (lol, don't tell my wife).

I've thought about air-tasking it, but there is not guarantee of the quality I guess.

Any ideas?

    • Hmmm… do you think her class of 8 year old's would appreciate the humoural and sexual complexity of this gesture?

      • Must be one of those snobby private schools if they can't appreciate it

Getting roses delivered is getting a bit old fashioned, getting posy's delivered appears to be more popular these days.

I found this but I am sure there are a bunch of similar companies in Brisbane.

    • flowers in a hessian bag for $40?

      • Lol. Strangely this is actually cheap. I don't get flowers.

Do a Google search for a florist that is located close to their work and phone them directly. I find you get better service and value for money dealing directly with the florist than going through an online agent.

  • Deliver it personaly

    • Good idea, but not possible, as I am also at work!

      • how important is your work and do you love her enough to leave this work and take a day/half day off for your wife

        • I am a teacher also, I can't leave my class :P

I had a teaching colleague whose husband bought roses and sent them in with the teacher next door, who then smuggled them to his wife’s students during recess. The kids then gave her a flower each. It was super sweet!
To be brutally honest, part of the fun of getting flowers at work is the ‘wow’ factor of showing them off, and 6 roses are not that visually impressive. She’d probably be happier to get a nice lunch delivered and you’d get out of it cheaper!

Haha. You know how the world works, thanks for the advice! So go hard or go home hey… Good point

  • Very hard to get a delivery for less than a dozen due to demand I'd say, as many have said ring a florist local etc,
However if you can arrange a timed pickup from florist of pre paid flowers call a cab to collect and deliver to main school admin for them to call her on PA to collect her Valentines flowers? Novel cheap and fast?

Ring school and tee up first LOL
