Waiting for the next code when the site crashes due to traffic, 'IMPLODIUM'

Although apparently they've created a code just for 'Tightarse' called 'IMODIUM'

  • +2

ends at 21.59 (AEDT) on 13 February 2018

    • Yup 4 hours only.

      • "Let's have a 4 hour sale on the eve of a relatively significant day." Are they testing server capacity or what?

Will there ever be a 20% sitewide??

Looking to get an Optiplex 9020 i7 for under $250 if lucky

    • +4

      If we get a gold?

      • If we ever get a deal that good I'll bet alot of computer chairs will be covered in bronze!

    • +34

Gotta wait until Amazon Australia opens……hang on….

    • +1

New accounts were getting 20% last month. Max discount $50 though.

      • +1

max $50 is enough, Refurbished 9020 optiplexes don't normally sell more than $300 anyway.

    • for 20% off sitewide, have to wait for Ebay AU's 20th anniversary :)

      • any idea when that will be?

        • It's already been 20 years for eBay as a whole… But for Australia, I believe it's next year since it's been in Australia since 1999.

        • @waysubsubway: thanks for that, can't wait till then so will have to use the current discount :-)

        • @FrugalBugger: Good luck. Really strange sale honestly, 4 hours only.

        • @waysubsubway:

Thats why i specified Ebay AU.

So last year we had 18% off for Ebay AU 's 18th bday, this year it shld be 19% off (or 1.9% if Ebay AU wants to be tight) then next year BAM!, 20% off sitewide.

Who's gonna keep items on their watchlist till then? :)

        • @X3: tight arses on ozbargain ?

        • @X3:
I'm going to save my list for their 50th bday. 50% off!!

        • @BargainKen:

Is there any other type of ozbargainer? ;)

        • @mobo:

You go girl! Thats what I'm talkin about!

        • @X3: when was the 18% as in which month to get an idea of another sale from ebay. thanks

        • @SuperSonic:

I actually went and looked it up for u at SuperSonic speed

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/330827

So September 21st 2018 for possibly 19% off.

But really, Ebay AU's 20th bday aside, Ebay AU have had 20% off before that has nothing to do with bdays, so hopefully they do one of THOSE first.

    Here we go again

  • Have you guys received the targeted offer which offers the same 10% discount yesterday evening just after the Present20 expired?

    • +6

No but I keep getting emails that say "Recommended for you: Pea Vegetable Plant Seeds, Microwavable Bottle Sanitiser" etc.

Ebay knows nothing about me. Nothing.

  • Jack, jack, jack, jackety, jackety jack

    • +14

When it's site-wide not everyone gets around to jacking…

    • Jack, Jack, Jacky
Can’t get you off my mind…

      • -1

        Huge Jackman

  • So this is 4 hours only - not six, or am I missing something?

    • +4

      Corrected. Thanks :)

  • 4 hours only

  • +15

Seriously…..I just bought something before lunch…..

    • +8

      There there, have a +1

      • +2

You should have said buy some more

        • That too

        • +5

Did you at least use code - PICK5 for 5% off?

        • +1

          @WatchNerd:
          I think he PICK0…. :(

        • +2

          @WatchNerd:
I sure did….Otherwise I would have to hand in my ozbargain badge.
Even went through cashrewards using woolies bought eBay cards.

        • @WatchNerd: Are we able to combine PICK5 and PODIUM? Ooops, just checked, no we're not

    • +1

I bought 2x xiaomi powerbanks with pick 5 the other day.. does this mean I need another 4?

      • +1

        Buy first ask questions later

        • Ozbargainers creed!

      • Is there a reason you didn't PRESENT20? Got my Xiaomi power bank cheaper that way I'm 99% sure.

    • Same, but only $30 worth.. oh well

  • Credit card with $10K limit- lets max it out in 4hrs! YOLO! What to buy??

    • +23

I'm waiting for a forum post in the next 55 days.

"10k CC Debt, What are my options?" =p

    • +4

Hold on. I’ll list a pack of gum for $10k

    • +3

Maybe that uni student will put his A200 AMG for sale. That's about all its worth

      • +2

and asks whether to wash car or not!

    • Considering it's a max of $300 discount, means you should only really spend $3,000 lol

unless your card already has $7k debt on it!

      • +1

        Can't I just make 3.3 accounts?

  • Anyone noticed price jacking yet?

    • +1

      No

    • +4

      Yes

    • +1

Never been an issue for me. Since it's sidewide I purchase from my usual sellers who don't price jack. Infact they normally have best offer.

  • +1

The fine print states that the maximum discount is $300 per transaction with a maximum of 2 transactions during the sale period

    • You have to spend $3000 to max out the $300 discount :O

      • My total was $2750:
Aorus Xtreme 1080Ti graphics and Predator X34 monitor

        I was close! $270 discount

  • +8

Looks like EB Games have removed their PS4 Pro + 2 games bundles

    • :(

    • Removing it for the sale doesn't make sense as sellers still get the same amount.

      • Apparently they reckon not..

        • +1

Sitewide codes aren't seller funded, they still get the same amount as spaceflight states (just the usual eBay selling/store fees). Unlike specific store deals (Usually 20% off xx stores) which are party seller funded on top of the usual eBay selling/store fees.

  • +5

Time to jack up my prices 15%

    • +2

What do you sell EC? Kogan vouchers?

      • -2

        Nope

Just some junk from house moving

        • +1

Ahhh sweet. Is that why you've been extra quiet? Is your name Neville?

        • How much for the house?

  • What's up with these eBay discounts within the last few months. Never seen so many……

eBay are you ok? Tell me, who hurt you?

    • +12

They thought Amazon AU was going to be a threat. This PODIUM code is to celebrate that they were wrong.

    • Ebay actually makes more money from these sales~~

  • +2

Time for Officeworks to remove their listings again.

Also do I wait for hope of getting the new account 20% off that has been on offer for my newest account or jump on this one.
