Ovation OVC888 Multi-Pod Coffee Machine (Lavazza, Modo Mio, Caffitaly, Expressi/K-Fee & Nespresso) $110 Shipped @ Harris Scarfe

230

If you too think the ultimate way to wake up in the mornings is by facing danger as soon as you've just gotten out of bed, THIS IS YOUR MACHINE!

From past reviews stating that this machine leaks water, fails to brew any coffee, fails to pierce pods all the way up to and including an electrocution risk when water leaks into the power button assembly excites you, THEN GRAB THIS!

If you are also sitting here wondering why you should buy this (myself included) machine instead of others on the market, it's because it's apparently compatible with a vast range of different pods. According to the 'manufacturer' this is compatible with brands such as Lavazza, Modo Mio, Caffitaly, Expressi/K-fee and Nespresso.

I would like to highlight that this is the old Sunbeam SM2000 https://www.productreview.com.au/p/sunbeam-cm2000-multi-caps…

Apparently Harris Scarfe DOES provide a 1 year warranty with this item SO KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS!

I'd also like to mention that it's quite an ordeal switching the pod cartridge over (but you are only going to do that when cycling to another brand most likely) but I think most of the problems likely stem from people not following the instructions.

Anyway… I bought mine for $110 delivered and it's the cheapest I've ever seen for a multi-pod machine by miles! So, feel free to upvote, downvote, mark for deletion etc!

(Forgot to mention, apparently this is eligible for about a 5% cashback through Cash Rewards?)

Do tell us how it feels to be electrocuted.

    • What is the average OzBargain reader supposed to take from this comment?

Is it a legit warning with actual reported incidences?

      An attempt at humour?

Or passive aggression for a cheap (bargain) product?

      I honestly can't tell.

      • Apologies.I re read the OP and see he/she mentioned the electrocution remark was from previous reviews.

        My bad.

As of 16:42 Brisbane time there is a total of 21 units available in the store (to find current stock levels add 88 to your cart, it'll drop it down to the highest stock level that's available). I doubt this is going to fly off the shelf anyway!

There were several on the shelf at Harris Scarfe Forest Hill at about 4:30pm this afternoon.

As the deal says, the $110 price includes delivery. If you buy in store and save the $10 delivery then it's only $99.95.

Thanks for the tip. There is still 4 left. I had to return 1 due to broken water tank and the staff are very rude when it comes to returns / exchange. Hope this new replacement will work without additional problems lol :)

I have one, it works well and it is easy to swap the pod cartridges over !

    • Awesome :) Again, I am guessing most of the problems are because people can't work out how to use it properly. I understand there is a trick and a few steps required to change out the pod adapters.

I seem to be able to make tech work so I figured I'd give it a shot

There are 2 cartridges per pod type - they are colour coded so you know what goes with what. We seldom change, because we have found a coffee brand that we like. Initially though we tried a few coffees, so changed more regularly. The only negative for me is the smallish water container, but when we fill the water we empty the used pods and it works for us!

For me, I bought it because I like cheap/specials (Aldi/K-Fee tend to be the cheapest though consistently) so I can swap and change depending on what's in the big two that week. Plus I tend to get bored drinking the same so I can mix it up a bit.

I DID screw Woolworth's on that infamous Espressotoria deal, was something like 100 pods + machine for $45 or something stupid and just getting to the end of the pods. But I need caffeine to handle a medical condition so this was the more logical step. Plus I can stop buying simple iced coffee's from 7-Eleven for $2 and only need to pay 50c now :)

But good to hear from a current happy user
