    They still are now, there are even large version homages of this watch (Skmei 1134)

    It's not called the G-shock Classic for nothing and they wouldn't make them in lots of different colours if they weren't popular.

  Great watch, recommend getting the solar version if possible though for a no hassle everyday timepiece (https://www.ozdigitalwatch.com/products/casio-g-shock-solar-…) << not affiliated, got mine from starbuy but seems they're not selling them anymore

  Fantastic price for a great watch. Like irredeemable I paid a bit extra to get the solar version, but this one is great as well. Battery should last years, and is relatively cheap/simple to replace yourself when needed.

  Dang I got this for $90 maybe 6 months ago. Love it though. I've heard people's batteries lasting 10+ years. I had an old gshock that lasted 5 years and kept going.

  I prefer solar as well, but the DW5600 (module 3229) can display time while on stopwatch or timer mode.

  Might be a deciding factor.
