    • +5

You know you want one really.

  • +2

This is waaaaay too much to process in the morning. It'd take all day to decide when presented with fifty choices of wristwatch designs.

    Calling Mr Rain WatchNerd

    • +3

Less than in many dealers' windows. But these are the world's best prices.

  • +2

Any deals on the Casio Edifice series?

    • +6

Perhaps in a subsequent deal - this one took a while to compile.

    • +3

      Don't forget to upvote.

  • +9

    You are a hero.
The hero that OzB didn't deserve, the one it needed.

  • +3

    Impressive effort!!

The Emojis are a very nice touch.

    • +1

Is there a small one I can use for Woolworths?

      • +1

Dammit can't believe they don't have one. Maybe the green apple emoji? Lol

  • +1

none that I particularly like, but thanks for the effort OP

  • +1

Appreciate the detailed post my man!

  • +2

Ok price for the 7700 & 7710. Can recommend as a watch, had my 7700 for over 10 years, only one battery change and its gotten me through all of my travels and everything else. Good display, easy to read and no small or pointless elements. 7710 is slighly cooler cos its the black screen but is exactly the same in features.

    • +2

Those are no. 12 and no. 13 here and the vendor - Starbuy - has an excellent reputation here on Ozbargain. I have bought 3 watches from them.

    • +1

Looking at upgrading to one of these in the future…

      Which model did you prefer?

      77000 or 7710?

      • +1

It's down to whether you like the standard clear dial with black text or the dark dial with yellow text.
Strange that they list one as a runners watch and one as a motorsport watch, their functions are identical afaik, they just changed the styling and marketed the dark dial differently.

Personally I prefer the darker dial, I modded mine a little to remove a lot of the text colour around the bezel with a paint remover. I like it better that way, all black=better for stealth running!!

Other than that, they're the same watch internally so you're not missing anything choosing one over the other.

        • +1

          Much appreciated.

          Thanks

  • +2

Which one of these are suitable for ppl with tiny wrist?

    • +2

I'm pretty sure number 1 is the smallest G-Shock on the list.

      Casio G-Shock Classic DW5600E-1V
      Size of case - 48.9mm × 42.8mm × 13.4mm

    • The G-9000 mudman is actually pretty good for small wrists (I am cursed with them also). They are not too wide, but they are a bit tall/thick, so that comes down to personal taste really.

    • G5600 is slightly smaller than the DW5600.

      46.7 × 43.2(side-to-side) × 12.7 mm

I also have a G7700 which works ok on a smaller wrist.

There's a tutorial on trimming the strap here.

  • -4

I'd recommend Patek Philippe over this one.

    • +5

You commented similarly yesterday. Go ahead and post a deal for them.

      • -2

Hey this is my only running joke ok?
        Don’t spoil it

    • what is patek is it roti or something

  • +1

I ordered one G-Shock from eBay should have arrived last Friday but not.
Hopefully it will arrive by tomorrow…but shame I have not checked the seller's feedback some claimed their G-Shock are not genuine.
If it is not genuine (I sent email to seller before ordered and the seller replied the watch is genuine, let's see), I will order one of watches from above and request refund from eBay.

    • +1

I'm glad you have PayPal protection. A Russian eBay seller's prices are cheaper than about 6 of mine above, but with 80% feedback rating he doesn't exist for me.

  • +1

+1 Purely for the effort and now back to go through each of the models. Thanks heaps @PJC.

  • +2

+1 for all the effort. Now, time to open 29368427 tabs to compare them all and pick one. Thanks!!

    • Cheaper here:-

      • +1

Sorry, first thing I should say is thanks for the great post. Secondly, I was more suggesting that the gx56 is gaining some fans, and so could be included. Thirdly, I was assuming people would use a pick5 coupon, as per your posts. Now if only the gw9400 would drop under $200 with the new rangeman coming!

        • Actually my link was for a different model. I added yours as no. 51. Thank you.

        • I have two kings, one with a positive lcd and the blackout. The negative LCD is a bit harder to quickly tell time, but has a cleaner dial I suppose.

  • +1

    Any 40mm dials?

    • +1

      Check out the Baby Gs

    • I doubt it.

  • +1

been waiting for gshock sales. Amazing post Thanks OP. Gonna buy one now, and hopefully deals like this comes up again around May and June.. would buy one more then

  • +1

Are any of these small for women or kids? I got tiny wrists (and am female). I loved my Baby-G watch back in the 90's

  • +1

Wowza mate, awesome effort, much appreciated.

  • +1

"Basic G-SHOCK black is accented in gold to create a HIP-HOP artist or B-BOY fashion item motif."

so you too can be as wack as kayne

  • +1

    +1 for effort

  • +1

upvote the deal only due the amount of work op put into the post

  • +2

My experience told me never buy from eBay, last time bought a baby G and definitely fake, returned immediately!

    • +2

Every eBay seller on this post meets OzBargain guidelines and none of them are private sellers. A Russian eBay seller's prices are cheaper than about 6 of mine above, but with 80% feedback rating he doesn't exist for me.

  • +1

I have the Mudman 9000-1, got it from Myer over 3 years ago… back then I thought it was cheap. Its even cheaper on Amazon.

I liked it so much I purchased a second G Shock 2 years later that has a gold face, gold digital numbers etc with a black band (don't have the model number with me now… only recalled the Mudman… because I'm wearing it right now lol).

  • +1

BUYER BEWARE….. there are many fake G-Shocks out there, especially on EBAY. Google fake Casio watches (G Shock especially)!!!

    • +5

Every eBay seller on this post meets OzBargain guidelines and none of them are private sellers.

      • -6

No problems… good to know, your previous deals with the Tissot watches featured some fakes sold by EBAY sellers.

        • +3

That is incorrect. There are no fakes whatsoever in that entire post.

        • +4

          That's good stuff you're smoking.
My dealer just sells crap these days…

        • -3

@PJC: No have a look at number 28 on your list, when that seller first listed the item there were using Jomashop pictures, read the item description, it's a cut and paste job and btw where's any mention of the warranty?

There are heaps of fake Tissot PRC around and that isone of them. Do some research.

        • -2

@AngryChicken: All you have to do is some research, I've been dealing with watches a very long time.

Now on to your dealer, I assume they are selling high yield Chinese stuff? Bad for your lungs and overall health, you need to find some good strains my man :P

        • +3

@jzx100:In 12 months the only negative feedback is a Spanish complaint about import duties.

          New with tags
A brand-new, unused, and unworn item in the original packaging (such as the original box or bag) and/or with the original tags attached.

An eBay Premium Service Melbourne seller using cut-and-paste to list a Swiss Made watch does not mean it is not a Tissot.

        • -1

@PJC: I wasn't talking about their negative feedback and being a eBay Premium Service doesn't mean they can't be selling fake watches. These pop up type watch sellers come and go on Ebay, not many people get watches looked at to see if it is a fake. If they were such a power seller, wouldn't they have 1'000's of feedback?

Did you happen to find the info on Warranty at all?

        • +2

          @jzx100:

These pop up type watch sellers come and go on Ebay, …

That particular one popped up 13 May 2003.

This member is an eBay Top-rated seller

        • @PJC: I did see that, maybe using an old account. They had a few prs 200 (gold) listed and can't be found in completed listings…. Ebay usually removes listings if they don't comply with their guidelines. I specifically remember that prs 200 as I was intending on purchasing it but found to many to many things just didn't sit right.

          Any news on the warranty?

        • +1

@jzx100: Ask the seller about warranty. I listed bargains for watches. If you think he contravenes eBay rules you can contact eBay.

        • -3

@PJC: I'm just letting people know that there is a possibility of fake watches being sold….. your bargains being one of them.

        • +4

          @jzx100:

So now it's only a possibility, which has changed from your first comment where you said -

your previous deals with the Tissot watches featured some fakes

You have no evidence to back up your comments that are leaving dirt all over these posts which require hours to compile.

Maybe just report it to the mods, as fake or counterfeit watches aren't allowed to be posted on Ozbargain and let them deal with it.

        • +1

@jzx100: I'm just letting people know that Ozbargain readers will take your comment at face value.

        • -4

@WatchNerd: NO, the one's being sold by that ebay seller I believe are fake. The comment I made above is for all watches being posted on here.

        • +1

@jzx100: I'm happy to give you the green light to post your own deals. Oh dear.

        • +2

@jzx100: I did see that, maybe using an old account.

Why don't you quit while you are way behind, otherwise interested parties may be calling on you to explain this:

          "This deal is not published.
Green Light Solar - 3kW & 5kW Solar System Specials Victoria Only (from $3400)
          This deal is not published.
6W LED MR16 12v Down Light $5 installed - Green Light Solar (VIC)
          This deal is not published.
Green Light Solar Victoria Ashes Specials
          This deal is not published.
Green Light Solar Melbourne 3kW Solar Panel system for $3,450"

I'm no snob, but I don't request fashion tips from bag ladies

      • There's no need to get so indignant, jzx100 is right to mention this on any watch thread where people might be tempted into going for the "too-good-to-be-true" type of deal frequently shown in recommended listings on Ebay or in searches where dodgy sellers will likely be at the top with their ridiculously undercutting prices. It's what any good OzBargainer would do; search for the model they want all over Ebay and other watch retailers before settling on your recommended listing. Those unfamiliar with watch buying from these kinds of channels can easily fall for some obvious scams that seasoned watch buyers wouldn't.

All it takes is a Google search of the seller's name. The most notorious fake-peddlers have been outed on watch forums years ago; doesn't stop people still buying from them though, so it's important to make it known.

The general maxim I've found to be true is: as long as it's not from Hong Kong, it's very unlikely to be a fake. Ebay sellers shipping Casio watches from Japan/Singapore are more than likely genuine, as are American-based sellers or Australian-based ones. I've personally bought genuine watches from Hong Kong before, but in my experience, a majority of fakes are coming from Chinese-based sellers.

Feedback is a very poor indicator of actual item authenticity and there are numerous ways they inflate positive feedback. Honestly, as a bit of a collector myself (14 G-Shocks, several Edifice and Pathfinder/Proteks) if there's a price difference of$50 bucks or less, between some unknown, unverified seller from Hong Kong and a decent-looking seller from Japan/Singapore with real photographs of the item in question and stellar feedback; go for the latter.

        • Even after a further 20 days we are offered no actual evidence any of the 50 watches in this post are fake. I found several eBay sellers who were cheaper but I rejected them due to inadequate feedback.

  • Which of these have vibration alarm?
