    This is a great price!!!

Sorry guys it's my Vodafone connection through Kogan

  • 5ms response though?

im after is a 1080p 144hz 1ms… is the 5ms a big deal for these gaming monitors?

    • +1

You'll barley be able to notice a difference… The price is too good to pass up but I guess it's up to you

      • +4

I disagree, When I upgraded my last monitor the 5MS>1MS was the biggest thing I noticed.

I was playing Counter strike though where every millisecond counts

      • +5

I have a 1ms monitor and 5ms monitor side by side. The difference is noticeable.

    • +3

The ghosting on this screen with darker content is horrible, for some games I found it quite nauseating. Avoid for gaming.

      • +2

Did you turn "overdrive" off or to "weak"?

There are some reports that this fixes the problem, and that most of the ghosting is actually inverse ghosting from a bad overdrive implementation.

        • I've done pretty extensive testing and mucking around with all the overdrive settings and refresh rates, also using the UFO test with a DSLR and at best, in dark scenes during gaming it is not enjoyable. The review posted below states dark motion blurring as it's biggest weakness.

    • +5

      5ms response though?

You will only find 1ms on TN panel monitors.

      • So im seeing - im keeping an eye on the market .

i dont need huge - 22-24 would be fine, but i do think 144 / 1ms is what im after.

I have a GTX1080 although i may try and sell that for a vega64 + freesync as the gsynchs are ludicrously expensive.

        • +1

Sure go ahead and sell your card, add 400 aud to buy an inferior card to save 200 AUD on a monitor.

Theres always this, gets good reviews

    • 5ms is not a big deal, since the human eye has a response time of 13ms.

You might argue that the difference between 5ms and 10ms is perceptible to some people with particularly sensitive vision. However, once you get down to 1ms, you're getting to an order of magnitude faster than the human eye can process.

      • The CS players above notice. They live in microseconds though.

      • It all adds up man. Monitor, Internet, keyboard and mouse…

        • This is response time, not input lag. Response time can be perceivable as it results in ghosting. A 5ms input lag wouldn't be perceivable to the eye but could in theory provide some advantage in csgo in very rare circumstances.

32 foot? Dang, I'll have to buy another shed. Anyone got a deal for those?

    • That be awesome asf gaming shed

  • +3

Solid review here, I've been on the fence for this one for a while… seems like it can be a little bit blurry which is unfortunate. But still a whole lot of monitor for the price.

    • Beat me to it. I just purchased one from there as well.

  • Brought One, Thanks!!!!!

    • +25

Where did you bring it to ?

  • +6

No VESA is a bit of a turnoff, but that price is very attractive…

    • how the hell are we meant to mount it then??

    • +1

yeah, no VESA mount is a hard no. Sadly.

  • +2

I bought one in one of the past deals, had a red stuck pixel, so returned it.

Ended up buying LG 32" 4K from US seller.

  • can anyone recommend a 27"? was about to grab a Asus-VP278H-27-LED
just wondering if I should grab the Asus or a AOC E2770SH 27

    • +3

I'd grab an Asus over an AOC any day.

    • Acer XB271HU down to $799 from olcdirect

    • +3

      I can recommend the VA2719-2K. Nice 1440p 27" at a good price.

      • thanks chossenger!

  • Out of stock?

  • Out of stock on the new deal.

  • +1

I just found the other one got back in stock now https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152868981109

  • +2

Wow, 270 for a 32 inch 1440p monitor seems unreal, whats the catch?

    • +1

60Hz. Review seems to suggest the contrast and picture quality is decent.

      • Its okay if you have freesync, my current 1440p monitor is 60hz with freesync, and its pretty decent with an AMD card. Its not 144hz, but the price difference is so big

  • Have they removed the : Samsung 500GB 960 Evo M.2 from their sales ?

  • Thanks, grabbed 2 of the other deal.

  • Anyone know if you can use the 75hz on nvidia card?

    • -3

Don't think so. You need a freesync compatible GPU to get 75Hz.

      • It's very confusing different websites list different things. If anyone has one can they confirm the monitor supports 75hz at 1440p while using a Nvidia card?

        • +1

Of course it works. Refresh rate has nothing to do with the brand of your card. The only thing you don't get is freesync which removes screen tearing if your card is not able to output over 75fps constantly.

        • -1

@currentfad: That's not necessarily true. Some monitors can only do it if the video card supports freesync, otherwise you're stuck with 60Hz. My sister has this monitor so I can confirm later. Also I have a freesync compatible 75Hz monitor (LG, not this one) and it doesn't do 75Hz as my video card doesn't support freesync.

        • +1

@Yuri Lowell: That's complete bullshit. So what you're telling me if I have an AMD or NVIDIA card I can't use 144hz monitors that don't have either Freesync or G-Sync?

Freesync is a software addition, where G-sync is a hardware component - both of which accomplish 1 job of matching outputted frames from GPU to the refresh rate on the monitor, known as adaptive refresh. This is the ONLY thing you miss out on if you cross an AMD card with a G-Sync monitor or NVIDIA card with a Freesync monitor. In other words, it would be no different to buying a monitor that does not have adaptive sync at all.

The issue you speak about is 100% human error, a hardware issue on the monitor, or you're using cables that don't support the bandwidth and you should sort that out by reading the manual rather than spreading false information.

        • @currentfad: He's not completely full of shit.

Freesync/G-sync does NOT mean this: "I have a 120Hz monitor, but GPU is only outputting 80fps in this section, so my monitor will adjust to 80Hz to compensate."

There is a workable range for the adaptive refresh, and it's hard to tell what each monitor outputs unless manufacturer specifies, or you read in-depth reviews. Some monitors only have a +/-5Hz range, others 20+Hz.

75Hz is an overclock from the stock 60Hz, thus it's likely the top end of Freesync range. There is no guarantee that a non-Freesync card can achieve this, as you mostly need the monitor to show 75Hz on EDID to do this - if it doesn't, you're most likely out of luck. (Sometimes you can force it…)

      • So wrong…

  • Anyone know what these monitors are like in vertical (portrait) position? Looking to use it as a side monitor.

    • +1

I don't think you can tilt it 90 degrees using the built-in stand, and it has no VESA mount holes. So you'd have some work to do to in getting it mounted.

Plus, I'd be looking at an IPS display for that. VA displays don't have the colour inversion of TN panels when viewed at a vertical angle, but they do bloom quite a bit and lose colour saturation. IPS would be much better.

  • Bought. Thank you!

  • Well I missed it because it was out of stock and now because you've had to tell me it's back in stock I've gone and bought one. Cheers OP.

  • Is 32 inch too big for a monitor? Considering using it for gaming but the 5ms response rate is making me unsure.

    • Depends how far you sit and how big your desk is. It's 1440p so the resolution is great for a 32". Most non-gaming monitors are 5ms so if you want better than that you should really look at a gaming monitor with 120hz or 144hz. This monitor is fine for normal gaming but it's just a generic 60hz general use monitor. Edit: It has freesync 75Hz too.

  • Got 2 of them. Thanks

  • I'm trying to decide between this AOC and this Samsung (which is around the same price atm)

    https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-C32F391FWE-32-LED-LCD-Curv…

Wouldn't the Samsung be a better choice for me since I only play Xbox One S and PS4 slim so I don't need more than 60hz and 1080p?

    • Samsung looks like a good monitor. Why don't you buy 1 of each and try it for yourself? lol

    • I bought the samsung and returned it (DOA) but glad it was, at 32" i think you need the better resolution. You could pretty much see the pixels.

  • Goood price!!

  • Looks like a great deal, but no VESA mounting kills the deal for me :(

  • Very tempting.

  • Great Price!. For just general use and very little gaming would this be a better buy

I don't mind paying the extra for what its worth. Has anyone got this and comment on it please

  • +1

Any other suggestions for something similar, seeing this one is sold out?

  • +1

Got mine via Fastway today. Very satisfied so far

  • Just received mine today and set it up and now I'm using it whilst typing this!

    I encourage anyone that purchased one to follow through with this review here;

    https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-q3279vwf/

and adjust your colour settings accordingly.

You can also import their colour profile which makes it surprisingly accurate.

    • I got this monitor today. Took 3-4 days…
How do you adjust this monitor? Window zoom is at 200% and it is recommended settings. Cannot read the writings on screen when it is 100% setting.

      • Right click desktop display settings. Make sure resolution is at 2560x1440 and I'm using 125% scaling so I can see the damn thing.

  • I just got this monitor but the bloody thread in the monitor mount isnt machined perfectly and I cant screw it into the mount… ARGH
