I'm kinda new to this. It tells me it's not available in Australia, and now wants a US address. Do we just add a fake address in the interim?

    • +1

same, let me know if you can!

    • Yes, pick a state with no extra tax, eg Oregon
Tell em you live @ the Hilton there

    • +1

Well I used fakena.me to generate an address, and another site to generate a 'cell' phone number in that city. I put them in as a new address in my Amazon profile, and set it as default. I left it a couple of minutes before the address was selectable in the buy process for the game, and it went through. Using an Aus credit card didn't seem to bother it.

      I have my code now.

So the possible snag may be in downloading it with Origin tonight. It may baulk at my Australian IP, in which case I have outrageously squandered mu US$4.99.

      • I got this after registering at the Portland Hilton and using an AU credit card:

Sorry, processing is taking longer than expected.

Please do not reorder this item.
Some Game and Software downloads go through extra verification that may take up to 2 hours.
This process is in place to prevent unauthorized orders on your account.

Click here to check your order in Your Account

No further action is required from you.
Once your order is complete, we will send you an email.
If you wish to cancel your order please contact us.

        • I got that but on my third code, first two went through fine.

edit: Third just went through after about 30 minutes pending verification

        • +1

@enceladus94: I got an email at 11.29am saying I got the item. I think that was within 5 mins of me posting the 'error' message.

I have just successfully redeemed it against my Origin account now.

  • FYI for Titanfall 2:

    Additional Requirements:
    * 64bit OS Required
    * Internet Connection: 512Kbps or faster
    * DirectX 11
    * Origin account required for game activation and installation

  • +1

I signed into origin online and redeemed the code through there, no problems

    • Great! Glad it worked ;)

    • Didn't work for me through Origin Online though:
"There was an issue accessing your account information. Sign in and place your order again."

This was through the aus/en-us site. Will try again in the evening @ home with the client and see if it works.

      • +1

My mistake. Tried it a couple of times and it appeared to have worked.

        Working a-ok.

    • Did you activate through origin online or client?

      • I did it online. Haven't tried the origin client yet, but I'm sure it'll show up there

    • Same. All good. Thanks OP :) Been waiting for a good price on this game.

  • +1

Successfully activated through Origin online. Thanks!

  • +1

Thanks! Worked great for me with origin online

  • +1

It worked! Purchase a-okay, code redeemed a-okay.

    Thanks OP.

  • Dont think I've ever went straight to paying as fast as this deal, thanks!

    • It will be the weekend for me :D (Winter Olympics)

  • Any other PC games on special from Amazon?

  • In terms on continuity, do I need to play Titanfall 1 to enjoy Titanfall 2?

    • +4

Not at all, since Titanfall 1 was multiplayer only. Titanfall 2 campaign is really good, go for it.

    • +1

Titanfall 1 didn't have a standard campaign (its campaign was just multiplayer with some minor story elements) and it isn't necessary to enjoy the campaign of TF2 since it's mostly based around Cooper and BT

      • Oh brilliant! Thanks!

  • +2

Just realised my old holiday home in Illinois now has sales tax on it, so bought a lovely new 3x2 in Oregon state just then to save myself the $0.40US of sales tax!

    • +4

My beach resort in Hawaii doesnt have sale tax too!

  • +1

    Thanks DeepDreamer best Idea!!

fakena.me worked a treat!! Upon clicking buy, Amazon prompts you this is game is Geo locked ( lol it’s not) and that would you like to update your address. So click updated \ change address use fakena.me to generate the info, updated amazon and then next next next and BAM! There is your key. I have gone on origin and activated it immediately and all is working!!

    Thanks again DeepDreamer!!

    • +3

      Where's my thanks ;)

You can also sign up for shopmate and they give you a US address and Ph no in the US to send parcels to ;)

      • Oh cool, I've never heard of Shopmate, will have to check them out. Are they cheaper than Shipito?

        • +1

Not really sure as I haven't used Shipito -
Just used the calculator for Shipito vs Shopmate and got these results

          2kg 40x30x20 item
Shopmate $62.55 (Although the fine print says it doesn't include GST)
          Shipito $56.52

          4kg 43x30x14
          Shopmate $62.55
          Shipito $$62.12

Seem reasonably close - if anything Shipito is a bit cheaper but looks like you need to pay a subscription to get Tax Free

        • @urbancartel: I see, thanks for the info!

      • Thanks urbancartel!! Your a Top bloke…. or gal ;). Thanks for finding the the Bargain and how to get the game!!
Keep up the good work :D

        • +1

Ha! You're very welcome ;) Just wish I had a gaming PC so I could join in the fun!

    • You're welcome

I think I got mirrors edge from origin last year for 7, also tried ea access only to find titanfall 2 MP to be dead.

  • +1

Add a random US address, but still used my Aus Address and Mobile for the order. No issues.

  • Don't forget cashback. iirc 6% on amazon US

Edit: Battlefield 1 is $US10 and the premium pass is $US15.

    • Is Premium worth it?

      • Get BF1 Revolution instead at $20
        Base game and all expansion.

  • +1

i got the code instantly after purchase. spent a few minutes figuring out how to redeem through origin.

i ended up, opening Origin app on desktop, click "My Game Library", click on top-right side "add a game", click "redeem product code", enter code, done!

  • Didn't particularly like Mirrors edge.. is this one better?
    Worth getting?

    • There is a lot more focus with shooting and driving mech compared to mirror's edge. The jetpack running on walls and stuff. Personally, it has a good 6 hour single player campaign which is just right as a game length without you going "oh my gosh, here i go again".

If you like fps and driving mech over just running and parkour, then you should give it a try

      • Yeah i already got titanfall 2, but was asking about catalyst…

  • +2

Battlefield 1 Revolution (base game + premium pass, so all the expansion dlc) is $20 here on Amazon also. Better than the current $30 on Origin for the same package in AUD even though it needs to be converted on Amazon.

  • Thanks for posting this — I'd previously ordered things on Amazon US with a California address, so I didn't have to wait and received my code instantly. Redeemed on Origin online, all good.

  • Can also use a shopmate (through Auspost) generated address and that works fine (for me at least)

  • Is the PC Titanfall2 community still active?

    • I am curious about this too. I feel like it might be pretty dead.

    • +1

I just bought the game yesterday. I changed my server to the Tokyo region and found games within a couple minutes. My ping has hovering around 100-120ms which was pretty much unnoticeable. Reading through some other forums, it seems like many other Australian players have also abandoned the Sydney servers. The game itself is great and the multiplayer is easy to pick up.

  • +1

    Thanx OP

  • Hi, worked fine with Shopmate. You get a US address and US phone number with it. Happy to beat geoblocking on principle.

  • Amazon didn't like me placing an order. They sent me an email:
    Hello,

Has anyone have issues redeming the the game with Orgin.
Im just getting The product Code you have entered is not valid. Please renter the code.
Do you think the seller is reselling the same game code?

    • I worked it out,
Log onto EA Log in and the redeam the game.

  • Now available for US$4.99 through the Origin Australia store. US$9.99 for the Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition.

    • Ignore that. Seems to be $19.99 now. Must have been showing me US pricing. Origin client is horrible.

  • +3

You just need to use a VPN and select USA for country. You can pay through Origin portal (US$4.99 credit or PayPal)
It's that easy, …..no need for Amazon.

    • This guy

    • Whoops sorry, take it back. Didn't work for me, had to go through Amazon

  • Anyone that buys titanfall 2 pm me for origin details, lets squad up!
