might want to check out Vodafone. They currently have the HTC Legend for $0 repayment on their 12-month $29 cap.

By my calculation, your min cost over 12 months should be (after 10% discount and 3 months free access):

Which is outstanding value for a pocketable Android 2.2 phone with such strong specs. And it comes with a cap with 200mb data!

mine was stuck on credit checks. called sales team to find out whats going on. The guy tell me that the product is not availaible on that deal cuz its a pricing error. I told him that othere got theirs and that i shoudl get mine too. Then all of a sudden he asked me to email him a 100 points check. Looks like they are tryign to make it hard for people to get.

Its been a bad week for Vodafone i think they will honour this deal. They recently faced bad reception problems and an article today said that people could cancel their plans for free because of Vodafone's "breach of contract" by not providing a good connection or something like that.

Anyway, if you use more than $29 credit on your mobile plan then they can still make more money than $. I'm sure many of you are following this thread not just because of the deal but also to learn how the customer relations system works in Vodafone for future reference :) Good work to those that made it and now I have non-buyers remorse.

Did anyone experience the hurdle of having to provide more proof of ID? I'm having some trouble replying with other credentials right now. Their e-mail provided keeps coming back with a "no-reply" service.

      I think the e-mail address is fine. Just misinterpretation. It mentions along the lines of "Thank you for your documents…This is a non-reply address" which I assume it is simply an e-mail address which sole purpose is to receive responses and doesn't reply. That's what I presume anyways…let's wait and see…

i started my order last night but got to the credit card section and had to stop because I didnt have my credit card on me. I left the page open and just a few minutes ago I've entered my credit card number and a whole lot more info and successfully completed the order. No $30 extra for phone repayment.

  Having automatic top up is very different to having an existing contract with them.
  There was no credit check requirements for your prepaid service.
  
  Your concern should be why do you have a bad record with those credit companies. It means you have a bad record that will prevent you from getting a contract phone service with anyone.
  
  Or it could be because your are a student or don't earn enough. Most likely its an unpaid bill somewhere.

    Two incomes, my card and the wifes are joint accounts, she is the primary card holder.
    Thing is her application was the one declined, and it was the second of our two orders.
    My application is still being processed!
    Seems a bit of a balls up.
    If they accept mine then I'll definately have a case.
