  What's the difference between these ones and those sold at Kmart for a lot less?

  I bought the large a few weeks ago from Kmart to use in the kitchen and its been fine with some decent weight on it.

    That's chrome plated wire. The Lake one is chromed steel. So it would be stronger.

      I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but aren't those chrome wire shelves typically steel wires anyway?

        wouldn't know dude. One literally says chromed steel and the other says chrome plated wire. It didn't say 'steel' it just says 'wire' so it's an unknown material, maybe plastic who knows.

  May be heavy duty? Dimensions differ. I'd stick to the cheaper Kmart one. Have several of them. Great space savers!
