    ouch

dont buy this… if you really need a 10" windows tablet, get a Chuwi Hi10 that's FHD has twice the ram and emmc and runs the Z8300 series cpu.

Thing is the Z8300 is already old so going back to the Win8 days with the Z3735 is some kind of cruel punishment.

Apollo Lake is the current tech, this is two gens before that.

    • I believe Cherry Trail was the last mobile x86 CPU? What CPUs use Apollo Lake?

Last year i bought one of this..don t buy it!It s useless!Despite the specs it doesn t even load windows! Most likely the motherboard is welded with cheap metal. The screen angle is unreadable and the tablet bend like butter!!You ve been advised.

Bought one of the Kogan (Atlas D300) versions for a test in the office , just as a display.

    These are absolute crap!
    - Slow
    - Touchscreen is like throwing lawn darts - accurate to within meters (Re-calibration didn't help)
    - Battery life is atrocious

At $99 or less , yeah could be something for a child or a cheap toy/experiment.
If you are looking to actually use this for anything serious - stay away.

  • Price is too expensive for the specs. I had one of these. 2GB RAM is not useable.

Imagine paying $400 for it. LOL.

Buy a Chromebook if you desperately need a cheap and reliable laptop.

Mine's nearly 3 years old, been in use almost every single day of that time.

. Amazing battery (only dude in class who doesn't bring a charger)
    . Fast lightweight OS
    . Good screen and speakers
. No need for anti virus shit, you got ChromeOS
. Can in fact play Doom

    • Can in fact play Android games and Steam games (with a bit of work).

    • Can in fact play Doom

      Doom 1993? IDKFA?

      • Only one worthwhile.

…That's not true, I (profanity) loved the new Doom.

        • Great game. But the difficulty wasn't balanced around your power ups. Whatever difficulty you chose was accurate to start with. But when you upgraded your gear, it didn't adjust accordingly to your growing power. By the end, you become OP as fk. The BFG you can fire it, kill everyone, and if you're lucky then pick up more ammo and keep using it. I was getting more ammo than I was able to use it. It killed me leaving BFG ammo on the ground not picked up. What a waste. Chainsaw is also OP.

They of course aren't the only OP weapons. Once you trick out the others, the difficulty becomes a joke.

  • Very very slow with 2GB…

  • I bought this for a trip last year when I didn't want to take my laptop. It was $145 during an ebay coupon sale.
On the positives, it ran MS office 2013 adequately to use word and excel.
The keyboard is ok, and it is nice to have the full range of windows software. I was actually surprised that the build quality was better than expected.

It is not very good compared to an Android or iOS tablet for tablet stuff like media. The battery is poor, and it really isn't very good at instant suspend/resume. It feels slow and ponderous, not snappy.

For my specific needs of running office on a small and light form factor that I could live with if it was damaged or stolen, it met my needs.
I sold it a couple of months ago in an ebay auction and got $60 for it…

    • I've got a similar Acer 2-in-1. Was thinking of selling, but it sounds like I'm better off just keeping it as a spare.

  • Any chance it'll run a light Linux distro?

    • Yes… with quite a bit of work. I've tried it on my Acer, and it's totally not worth it. Either stick with Windows 10, or if you're wanting to get away from Windows, get a Chrome OS device. When comparing everything from battery life to touch screen usability, Chrome OS has all other distros beat.
