Cheap bowling seems to be the best option here! If it's the 24g packs then it'll be $3.40 for a game. They might even go half price.

    • I dont consume tictacs, does anyone know if tictacs go on sale regularly at coles/woolies ?

      • +1

I dont buy tictacs (am actually a self-proclaimed addict to mentos now mints), but because I always go to the confectionary aisle for mentos mints, I do observe that they are regularly on sale (as in every other week as it seems).

        • Cool . Thanks . I was hoping someone may have observed the sales somehow. I will start checking, then buy 20 packets when they're on sale :)

      • I just had a look at Price Hipster - it shows the price history for Coles, Woolworths etc.

Woolworths have them on special for $1.30 fairly regularly, and Coles have had them on special for $1.35/$1.50

        • Thanks Katie. I will check till I find them around that price, then buy up in bulk for the vouchers.

  • Awesome, I can get free games of bowling by getting tic tacs!

    In 34 days :(
Oh well, set reminder. Thanks OP!

    • +1

Then foil your oponents game by tripping them up with tictacs :)

  • +5

    Timezone still exists?

    • Yeah; they're opening more stores too!

  • Way too long a lead time. Remind us in 33 days!

    • +2

You can set a reminder, below bookmark button.

      • +1

        Thanks for this.

      • Nice, thanks.

    • What's this 33 days stuff?
The promotional period starts today ? I'm clearly missing something

EDIT** I looked at the date… derp

  • +3

Thanks so much OP! Would Red Balloon vouchers be stackable?

    • +1

Good idea, was thinking the same. Step 5 from here suggests you can more use than one, however with many sites I have tried this with there is a system limit. https://help.redballoon.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/200280339-H…

      • Im confused, about the "with many sites" part of comment. Im guessing redballoon redirects you to other sites, but your still making the purchase through redballoon ?
How many is the usual limit when it stops you adding more vouchers ?
        Thanks

        • +1

Apologies, I was meaning using gift cards through completely different retailers, such as JB Hifi.

        • @17833:
          Ok thanks for the clarification.

  • Worth it just for the Red Balloon vouchers! Now just to figure out what to do wit the tic tacs cause I don't want the sugar.

    • +1

I’ll happily accept them from you. :)

    • Feed the homeless… 1 tictac at a time

      • LOL that actually pointed me in the right direction. I'll leave them in my bag and compulsively offer them to people. People will probably want when morning coffee breath kicks in.

        • +1

Lol . There is also low cost grocery handouts offered by community centres and church groups :)
I have been to 1 before, you could fill 1 bag for $20 2 for $35, 3 for $50 or something like that. Then there was another section at community grocery charity where you could grab as much as you like for free. I guess people could donate unopened tic tacs packets to similar groups, or vinnies or salvos . Perhaps would serve as a treat they could give with food hampers to families with kids.

  • Did anyone claim these red balloon vouchers from a similar deal that could shed some light on whether it's stackable?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/337220

  • +1

    As per T&C:
Eligible Claimants may claim a limit of five (5) Gifts per person per week
(Monday to Sunday) during the Promotion Period.
Eligible Claimants may submit a limit of one (1) Gift claim for every two (2)
    unique Participating Products purchased.

Looks like you can stack 5 vouchers per week.
    5 x $15
    5 x $3.40
Which is approximately a 77% discount.

    Amazing deal!

    • +1

Are vouchers definitely stackable? Does it explicitly state it anywhere?

    • +1

      Your maths checks out.

  • Is there anything stopping us from making 2 accounts; to claim 10 per week etc ?
I did this with the rebel sports vouchers on upNgo without issue.

  • Has anyone seen the specialty marked tictacs yet. I wonder if they will be put on the shelf tomorrow ?

    • +6

      See here
Currently on sale at Woolies for $1.30 each.

Note that they were the only two flavours I saw specially marked, all the others weren't.

  • +1

The 2 for $4 tic-tacs at 7/11 might be more convenient for some if they are specially marked.

Great timing, just was actually going to get something like this so tic tacs it is!

Bowling Centre Locations to all those interested.

    • Does the search for locations work for others?

      • No luck for me (using chrome) :(

      • Have you put in your location/postcode up the top? Also it only shows your nearest centre.

It works on chrome for me?

        • Yeah nothing coming up. I put "Sydney" and "2000" in for CBD, both showing nothing

        • @au-user: I put in "2121" and saw the nearest was actually in Epping.

Just noticed that was the top one, not AMF. This is AMF's link - the one in my original comment doesn't go to anything.

        • +1

@pennypincher98: Thanks! I noticed, AMF one "One voucher per group can be redeemed"

        • @au-user: haha looks like I'm going with my non savvy unOzbargain friends then ;)

  • I see there's a great interest for red balloon vouchers, what's the best way to use them?

    • First we need to discover if multiple red balloon codes are stackable. If not, then don't bother (they have promos every so often, so would make this pretty "meh"), use for bowling instead.

If they are stackable, how many can be stacked at once? If it's 5, then the optimal use is something costing 5 * $15 = $75.

The best use of a $75 red balloon credit depends on what you like and where you live. As a starter, go to:
      https://www.redballoon.com.au/christmas-gifts/christmas-gift…
set the "location" to your location, the price to say "$50 - $125", and then see what looks good to you. To me, a meal for 2 for $80 in darling harbour looks like a good option.

      • Reports below that the promo organiser said RB codes are not stackable. It hasn't been tested though.

        • +3

          I've tested. Not stackable :(.

  • I see alot of tic tac packs being opened for their codes at the supermarket…. or is that kids helping themselves?

  • Sooooooooo going to smash Foodora (I loooooooooove my food)

  • +1

The code is so hard to see. I saw someone in the shops opening a packet. But you would actually have to tip out all the tictacs to see the code.

    • Wow if those are ozbargainers doing that, that's just low.
If I were you I'd be taking photos of their mugs and posting them up here. As well as showing the store manager.

    • You're kidding me…

      DAMN!

I was hoping I'd be able to buy the Tic Tac's, use the code then give them away.

      • +1

Well you still can if you pour the tic tacs in and out. Depends if the ppl you're giving away to care about the pack being opened.

  • +3

I just looked into the terms and conditions for the offers. The anytime fitness offer is very shady. Here is what it says:

•Offer comprises a guest membership for 7 days at any Anytime Fitness Club in Australia
•The guest must be at least 18 years old and a first time Anytime Fitness club user and live or work in close
    proximity to the club
    •To use this offer:
    o Simply visit https://www.anytimefitness.com.au/
o Search for your nearest gym by entering suburb, city or state
o Select preferred Gym from listing on left-hand side of page and click on 7 Day Free Trial
    •Offer is valid until 31/07/2018

Nowhere does it say this 7 day trial is conditional on the purchase of the tic tac products or require the input of the codes. In fact, Anytime fitness always offers a 7 day free trial, so why would I pay for 2 tic tac products to get this offer which is always available and free?

    Am I missing something here?

  • +2

Was just about to highlight the same thing as you did. Am in fact starting 7 day trial with Anytime Fitness and can confirm no code needed. Also believe signing up with Active April promotion will get you 2 for 1 tickets at Sealife etc. Please correct me if I am wrong about that.

  • +4

I redeemed 2x2 packs about half an hour ago No confirmation email yet. When it comes will let you guys know if redballoon is stackable.

    • Yes! Let us know!

    • Do the 4 packs need to be on a seperate transaction?

      • 2 per claim = one voucher. I had to redeem repeatedly in batches of 2.

Confirmation emails still haven't come btw. The website said it could take up to 48 hrs for before we get our vouchers :(

        • But when you purchased them does it matter? I guess not because they don't ask for a receipt.

        • +1

@sween64: nope didn't matter when I purchased. I purchased all at once. Yeah they don't ask for the receipt.

    • +4

I finally received the vouchers. Yes, there's a 3 hour wait.

The RedBalloon admin team won't let us stack them. When I plug them in I get errors and have to talk to the online support, who'll only let me redeem one at a time.

Also to note: RB's voucher expiry is 31/07/18.

    • Do you have to purchase 2 in the same transaction or can you buy 1 at a time?

      • +1

It doesn't matter how many transactions you purchase them across as long as you have two codes when redeeming.

  • Haven't had a chance to pick some up yet, has anyone tested if the red balloon vouchers stack?

  • +4
  • +1

Purchased 2 packets from Woolies for $2.60

    Redeemed for AMF Voucher.

AMF Voucher just arrived in email inbox approx 3 hours after redemption.

  • I can not redeem any of my vouchers each time it said this voucher has already been used. Is anyone else having this problem.

    • That's how RedBalloon are stopping us from stacking. They're doing it on purpose.
I had to talk to the online support who'll trade the code for a working one, but only one at a time.

      • +1

Wow what a pain in the arse. So I have to speak to someone at Redballoon and let them know the code won’t work and they will give me a working code. That seems like hard work.

  • Are the redballoon vouchers for cash only sales. Does anyone know ?

  • With the AMF voucher, does it essentially mean a free game for two people? or is it more like a B1G1F

  • "Free Adult Admission" to a bowling alley? What the hell does that mean?

    • Wondering this also

  • could you get say 4 x bowling vouchers and use them all in one visit ? or is there a one voucher per visit caveat on them ?

    • +1

      T & C's say one per group

      • +1

damn .. cheers not really worth it then.

  • +1

Ozbargain fail. Meant to redeem red balloon but redeemed timezone instead.
    Anyone want a timezone voucher?

    • I'll take it if still available :)
