I can confirm that for the price, this is a cool jizmo.

      • Have also logged in:
also "coupon limit has been reached".

Ordered this last time. For those who are interested: There are two buttons - one dedicated for the laser pointer and the other to toggle between UV, LED, flashing UV/LED functions. The casing and bottom screw for changing the batteries are made of low quality plastic. The laser pointer beam is not fully focused but still ok to use for presentations and distracting cats, and the "Ultra bright" LED flashlight.. meh. Not worth it in my opinion.

    • try shining UV on Glow In the Dark stickers or what not… makes it worth every cent

      • Didnt think of that, but I tried the few notes in my wallet and the credit cards and passports.

        • +1

With the UV you can make your place look like a Jackson Pollock painting.

  • Yep, not working for me too. Did login in too.

coupon worked for me just now so ordered one with AUD $0.38

  • +1

Would the UV be bright enough for the search of organic matter

  • "Coupon code limit has been reached." after login.

have you bought this item before ?? as this deal was listed couple of month ago too..and may not allow to use if purchasing again.. ( assumption)

I wanted one of these but, I can only use Paypal… Paypal requested I link another card, which is already linked &, it rejected this. Anyone know why?

    :-)

    • +2

same paypal issue to me as well.. i will be calling paypal to sort that out..
fyi- if you have bank account linked to paypal then try transfer couple of $$ to paypal account see.. if that works ..

    • Similar issue for me using PayPal. I have 3 cards linked Amex, visa and MasterCard but it would only let me use the Amex. Couldn’t access the other ones.

    • +2

My Paypal only gave me the option to use either my two linked Amex cards or my bank account. I have at least two other visa or mastercard cards linked to my Paypal.

Also it only gave option to pay in USD, whereas Paypal usually tries to convert it to AUD for you (for a fee).

    • +4

Same, the paypal gateway won't take my 28deg or cb+ mastercards. It hides them saying "Not available for this purchase. Choose a different way to pay". My amex and regular bank account show up fine. Looks like I'll get stung the extra 2 cents for paypal's conversion.

AUD$0.38 instead of AUD$0.36, you're breaking my balls.

    • +1

Same here. I also have a Paypal account with cards registered but was asked to link a credit at Zapals' checkout page.

        something fishy

      • I called Paypal and they told that that their system detected suspicious multiple payment attempts with big amount recently so system has blocked it.. (not done by me and no unauthorised payment happened luckily ).. they unlocked the and should be fix in an hour .. lets hope :)

        • That sounds like BS when it is happening to all of us on Paypal, cannot add a card, already have cards in the account?

        • @AJW: Yes..I advised paypal that many others are affecting with same issue..
          Sorry BS means ?

        • @Being Askhole:
Sounds like bull shit that Pay Pal said it had an issue detecting suspicious activity with your account. It sounds like there is a problem with Paypal, or as another user mentioned, a problem with Zapals only accepting Paypal credit or bank credit, (not credit cards themselves) for this product.

        • @AJW: yeah.. looks like paypal are BSting me.. still not working for me. :(

  • Worked fine for me less than a minute ago… thanks OP

  • +1

I tried again but, it seems they only accept Paypal, which I respect… I emailed Paypal about this but maybe its a Zapals problem?!

    • +1

i used paypal but payment doesn't go through

  • Coupon code limit has been reached :(

  • Thanks! Code works for me, just bought one

  • +1

What did Zapals do that makes them run these "we apologise to our customers for any inconvenience in the past" sales? Or is it just good marketing?

Code worked for me, but it wouldnt let me use my Visa or MasterCard. Made me use direct debit or amex. Thanks OP!

  • +2

Paypal doesnt work with zapal anymore?

  • Hi guys,

Would this be suitable for checking swirl marks on cars after polishing ?

    • You probably want a bettter torch, this is one hokey little LED and it'd take forever to go over the car.

  • +1

Thanks OP will help with clean up in various places around the house and bedroom.

  • The code and Paypal worked fine for me. Cheers.

  • Didn't need, but bought. Thanks!

  • +1

I suspect the code that Zapals is parsing to Paypal only allows for either Paypal credit or Bank Accounts, not credit cards to be used. I read a thread on a Paypal forum about a vendor trying to implement that 'feature' recently.

  • +1

Weird. I can pay with Paypal, but it won't let me use my 28 Degrees card, which is set as my preferred card.

  • +2

Australian customs allowed these kinds of laser torches??

    • +1

That's what I'm thinking. Laser pointers are illegal in Australia I believe.http://www.ozlasers.com/australian-laser-laws

    • +3

Anything under 1mW output is perfectly legal.

  • +1

Having trouble getting through Paypal? Just says 'Please link a credit card or debit card to complete your purchase' and after clicking 'Add' nothing happens :(

  • +1

i thought this stuff was illegal

    • +1

      Nope.

      • well the price is definitely a steal

  • This "UV light" isn't gonna make you a CSI detective in the bedroom… it's just a LED with a purple film.

    • "See, it's not jizz!"

  • coupon code limit has been reached. i think i got this a while ago though so must be an old code still?

    • Possible.. different code but old link. :-)

  • "Coupon code limit has been reached."
