Miele charge $28.90 for 4 dustbags, 1 motor protection, and 1 exhaust filter, but you can generally buy it cheaper on eBay (4 Boxes containing the above for $71.98)

Great first post ! I'm glad I held off when I missed the Bing Lee 15% thru indecision. I'm moving house and losing my ducted vacuum system. By all the good reviews on here it sounds like the Miele is the way to go.

When you say 2 bags, do you mean 2 boxes of bags (8 bags total) or just two bags? It's weird for them to give just one bag in addition to the built in one. There's no retail packaging for a single bag.

Btw, Dyson have announced going forward they are done with barrel vacs. They're going cordless only from here on out. Hmmm. The new V10 is $1000.
If you can tolerate being plugged into a wall, don't buy a Dyson!
I was like that. Now, I've got too much happening in my life to afford that time. If its not cordless now I won't use it. But I don't recommend being like me!
